Got tickets on line for the Derby and York games . Derby game Kop B block sit anywhere . York North Stand seats chosen in selected block (near WC for me ) and parking booked. Not bad for Old Skool booking on line, but I used to like going to the ticket office then walking up to Bar Italia those were the days. Mrs Rocket is tagging along to York not going to the game shopping in the outlet.

Got 3 for York!!! Might struggle to make Derby as stopping over in Brid on Friday night so not sure whether I'll be back....

Just over 500 tickets sold for York away.

 

Could be wrong but going by the sold grey area's on York's website we have sold nearly quarter of the ground ???

York are yet to release the final blocks (NB). When they do, that’ll be a 1,000 behind the goal.

There’s an overspill section in the West stand which will be made available as soon as the 1,000 are sold.

 

Just looking at the York and Sunderland games, the weather is going to be hot, the hottest we have seen for some time.

The York game is going to be a waste of time football wise - the pace will be slow and it is going to be a poor spectacle due to the heat. I can’t imagine it being much fun to be stood in the hot afternoon sunshine either.

Going to be hot Tuesday too, but at least it’s an evening game.

I wonder to what extent the conditions will be on Hughes mind. Perhaps a team of two halves again.

A 60 minute game at a higher intensity would probably be more worthwhile than a 90 min slog in the heat and humidity. Then again the players are athletes and it could still be hot on 30th July for Donny.

 

I'd expect two different side to play of the Sunderland game so everyone can get a peak at all the new signing anyhow. So that 14 players off the bat.

As they recently had a warm weather camp in Spain for a week, and the game being played in the evening knowing they will play max 1 half I think for your £10, you'll get a half decent spectacle.

 

We should have made a few quid from these pre season games having played Derby and Sunderland!

Must be more than we would usually make from them?

 

Sunderland will bring a few fans down, but I think Derby County had a large following as it was barely two weeks ago that they feared they might never see Derby County ever play again in their current form.

Sunderland were playing Ranger in Portugal the other day and head north of the border to Dundee at the weekend. They will have been more tempting for their fans to attend.

 

I think we did a bit of a Rochdale with the Derby attendance, it was given out as about 1,300, they had an allocation of 1,800 but there was never 500 empty seats in the 3 blocks. Looking on Sunderland's website they sold out block G with tickets left in E and F but doesn't say how many. I'd expect them to bring the same as Derby.

 

Sure I saw it given out as 4,300 in the T&A
