I've eaten at The Ivy (original one, not the cheaper grills etc) and the Dorchester, and the only thing over £65 was the wine. I doubt even L'Eclumbe at Cartmel charge £65 for a desert.

 

I suspect City is taking a good whack of that £65, plus the room hire of course.

Seriously though, well deserved Brad. Best full back in the league without a shadow of a doubt. Hopefully he gets another 2 year deal

Interested to know who everyone picks as POTS, YPOTS, most improved, best signing and worst signing. For me:

Player of the Season - Of course, Halliday, more for his consistency, giving 7/10 performances each week. He rarely ever had a bad game and is probably the best right back in the league, or certainly one of them.

Young Player of the Season - Torn between Pointon and Kavanagh, but the latter takes it for his overall contribution since joining in January. He will go on to have a great career in the game. As will Bobby, hopefully!

Most improved player - Kelly is the obvious choice here and probably deserves it. The jury is still out on him as a starter, and I am not a fan of his ability with the ball, which is important in a three. But he has improved, so credit where credit is due.

Best Signing of the Season - S. Walker. Great signing, an absolute improvement on Lewis and the defenders seem more confident with Walker behind them. Has pulled off some massive saves during his short time at the club to date!

Worst Signing of the Season - The obvious choice is Taylor, but maybe more in the disappointing category is Pattison due to always being injured! Smith could also be here, he is woeful but has chipped in with goals against the kids during the tinpot trophy.

Reward failure, no.. Bradford City doesn't do that.

 

I'd say it would be an insult to the majority of fans if they had a POTY awards. But if they did, only Halliday is worthy

 

If he did score many and assisted many, he would be in the Championship. Let's be realistic, he's a great player to have at League Two level

 

Really? Gillead is absolutely miles away from every being a championship standard player and even in league two he's nothing more than average.

If he was truly any good he wouldn't have been shuffled around so much and ended up as a "utility player".

 

He seems like a good lad and never gives less than 100% but when a utility player is one of the first names on the team sheet week in week out, there's a problem.

 

It would have been more appropriate to hold it on Wednesday 13th March. That was the end of the season.

 

It's also important for those on here wanting Cook out.

It's all very well getting a mobile front 3 but if the goals we'd lose from Cook aren't replaced and more besides then we're no better off than now.

Apart from Jamie Walker, who can't play a full season anyway when was the last time that we had a winger or midfielder that looked like getting anywhere near double figures?

Jack Payne had a brief spell of looking excellent but after that I'm struggling unless you go all the way back to Dave Syers, and then Eoin Jess.

 

He didn't go last year but has been once after Rahic got the boot.

 

How much is it this time? Last one i went to was the Stuart McCall speech one and if i remember it was £35

£65 to celebrate mediocrity, bargin.

 

My sister in law works at Cedar Court so I wouldn't attend this is even if they paid me £65 to come, picked me up in a limo and gave me a free room full of hookers (that paid me) for the night.

 

It will likely clash with an event already booked in at City that day. Otherwise as you say its a crazy decision unless its in the sponsorship agreement of course.
