So you now know what you "are dealing with" what do you intend to do about it?

Because it only increases the amount of listens the podcast has which is what he wants and how he gets paid.

I'm a labour supporter but have complained to the labour party. What a silly thing to do
They call themselves free thinkers as well. They are mentally disturbed

What I find interesting is someone starting a new account on here at the same time as this came out

Luckily, disaster 'researchers' and conspiracy tourists aren't likely to get very far if they visit VP.

But this is fertile ground, normally, for all kinds of freaks and weirdos to start questioning everything from behind a screen, asking unanswerable questions and re-treading old ground like they're the first people in the world to hear of events like this. Get enough of them misunderstanding the same subject, and they start showing up at people's doorsteps wondering if any of it really happened.

I wouldn't say conspiracy'theory, more of loose ends that could have been tied up at the time but weren't, allowing a certain individual to be still looking for answers. Look, I'm pretty open minded. I've listened to the podcasts and most of the stuff is just regurgitated from the last 38 years edited in a way to give the podcast a direction the agenda wants to go, a bit like a judge pointing a jury in a certain direction. And the latest episode linking Shah and Hilsborough is bottom feeding journalism at its worst.
If anyone listens to that series with an open mind and doesn't come from Bradford they could easily come to the conclusion that foul play was in order. And that shouldn't be the case. To be clear I have never held any other view that it was an avoidable tragedy but with the caveat that certain questions should have been answered but weren't.

Not even remotely interested in listening not knocking those whose curiosity gets the better of them tho
The biggest question is why now, why not start the "witch hunt" when the chairmen were able to defend themselves
Seems a cowardly way of raising the issue not to mention dragging up the terrible memories
Disasters happen it's part of life apportioning blame on those who have passed serves no purpose at all
Everyone there that day is affected to varying degrees memories/images remain publicity stunts like these shouldnt be given credence

I've listened to some of the podcast but not the latest one referring to Hilsborough. I've heard nothing new so far which changes my own view that it was a dreadful tragedy and that it warranted its own inquiry at the time. It should not have been combined into the Popplewell report alongside the Heysel tragedy and the Birmingham incident, both of which had very different underlying causes.

I stand by what I said more fully in an earlier post. Yes, some form of independent inquiry ahould have bern held at time to investigate and understand the underlying causes which led up to that awful day. The scale of the tragedy and its aftermath warranted that. But nearly 40 years later isn't the time to be holding one. Memories are fading and key individuals are no longer with us. I don't fully understand the motives behind the podcast being broadcast so many years later.

My thoughts exactly Den. Had an independent inquiry been held at the time then questions still being asked now would have been answered at the time. As it stands now we should let deceased rest in peace, its the least those poor souls deserve.

I think the view should be that it's dealt with, leave it alone. Despite what @Steampig@Steampig claims, the civil case found BCFC & West Yorkshire County Council as jointly responsible. Bradford Met were not even named in the action. £20million was paid in compensation so it's far from the highest payout in British History. There are four claims against the NHS alone that are higher and it is expected that up to 5,000 Liverpool supporters could get at least £50,000 each for Hillsborough.

Listened to the final episode today and it’s a woeful finish. Naz Shah MP is spouting crap as usual. He won’t be winning any awards for this effort.

Sorry Silver most are not interested, and those who are can listen for themselves, I'm genuinely surprised anyone who witnessed that day would want to listen to this sort of thing.
