I do not like to criticise players who have given their all for 90 minutes and I have defended Doyle this season but today, oh dear. I don't think I have ever seen a player who so consistently misjudges the flight/bounce of the ball as much as him. when you looked at the manner their attacker chested the ball down and brought others into play just made you want to weep at Doyle's efforts flailing away in mid-air and never getting a touch on the ball.

 

If Wimbledon beat Rochdale midweek we could still finish bottom!

After his one game for us, I wouldn't be that surprised if some doylems tried to.

In reality, it's the sheer ineffectiveness of the very poor Eoin Doyle and technically inept George Miller that have cost us.

We started the game well but let’s remember they are a team full of confidence and played like it for the rest of the half but we complete,y dominated the second half playing good football I think Ball had a great second half and Clarke gave us balance on the left just a pity we haven’t a striker who can hit a barn door

 

He's only here until the end of the season as an option, I've nothing against the signing - it literally is as simple as a league one quality player actually desperate to play for us and resurrect both his and our season - must be cheap, too, so it makes sense regardless of strongly-formed opinions.

Honestly, without Clarke, we're stuck with the same AM/FW's who have let us down badly all season.
