    Think he might have made the bench if the rule about a home grown player wasn't in force. Now Sykes-Kenworthy is out on loan, it more or less guarantees that Devine will take up one of the subs places.

    Quite like the line up. Looks like we’re going to win the game which makes a change! Considering we can’t defend we may as well try score a few! Scoring the first goal would be good as we tend to concede in batches of 2 or 3.

    Strictly speaking it's a requirement to have a 'club developed' player in the matchday squad which Devine clearly meets but is one of only a few who do these days. 'Homegrown players' are quite different and we have lots of those since all it means that they have to have been registered at any FA affiliated club for 3 years before their 21st birthday. The most 'famous' of the home grown players in the PL is Cesc Fabregas!

    Pretty much the same goal shy forwards we’ve had all season. Hopefully something clicks today. Oh, and the defence manages to be a tad more solid.

    Strictly speaking you don't need to have a club developed player in the matchday squad. The rule states you are allow 6 substitutes and you are allowed a 7th if you have a club developed player in the squad. Homegrown players are quite different and are covered by a different rule. Homegrown players have to been with a English or Welsh club for 3 years before they are 21. Scottish and Irish leagues do NOT count towards homegrown.
