Did taking the knee make any difference whatsoever in Hungary the other night?

 

Give me an example of any other workplace/industry i.e postman/plumber that performs this virtue signalling before they start work...?

 

What has that got to do with anything? Why not saying why you think taking the knee is so bad

 

Suggest you Just do some homework/research then..

 

It again brought attention to the issues rather than hiding them away which some people seem to want to happen.
So what do you suggest the players do then?

 

Why are you so passionately against it? Why the need to write to your local paper and ask them to run an article on it?
wherever it came from the players across England have clarified why they are choosing to do it and still people shout from the rooftops about why they are so against it.
if people don’t want it ramming down their throats that’s fine but what will booing and turning your back hope to achieve? Get the players to stop? But why? Would people like you chalk that up as a victory ? They have already said they want to continue it this season as they deem it necessary. And that’s a decision they have taken.
If you don’t agree that’s fine but just ignore it and as I said concentrate on the game to come.

It doesn’t have to be such a decisive and massive issue but people are making it into one. It’s bizarre

Come on that’s rubbish. What other industry makes their workers stand in a circle before clocking on to do minutes applause?

 

A dangerous thread where this could wind people up to the point they regret putting something. All I will say is that football clubs were setup as an escapism from work, general day to day nonsense and politics.

 

Players like Sterling and Bellingham would love to play football without racist abuse but that didn't happen did it.

 

Its not the players that need to do anything. Its the authorities that need to take action if you really want change. Fifa tried to wash their hands of it today stating it doesn't come under their juristiction. Well bloody make it come under your juristiction then. Take action against the individuals concerned with appropriate punishment.

I agree but without the players Fifa is nothing. They are highlighting it in a way they deem appropriate. It’s as simple as that for me.

 

Its only a dangerous thread when people can't accept its a debate and as such people will have differing views. If folk can't act like grown adults when in discussion then debate isn't for them.

 

If I were a young black footballer I wouldn't care what they called me as long as I and my team mates were winning matches, by the way Sterling was brilliant last night as he was in the Euro's..
