It was high risk having all these 3 players starting especially when Woods is just back having been out since he played one game and Mellor has been out for ages.

 

You have to take into account the previous two results and performance and number of games left. He wants to start with a bang and change the atmosphere. If we were playing well or mid table or had a fair few games left, I’m sure he wouldn’t have started both. You are looking at the decision in isolation of everything else

I'm not sure what you mean by looking at it in isolation. I'm looking at a team which has four players starting who've hardly played recently and the risk involved. You could add in Butterfield. The only reason he's here is because of his time out.
