I've watched it back now a dozen times and I'm sorry, I don't see what you are seeing. It was a great tackle and never a penalty in a million years.

After the slating that O'Connor took last week and rightly so he was immense today best I have seen him play same for Akpan too. Ball and Doyle worked their socks off and with the way Butterfield looked at times way way above the rest on the pitch we have a glimmer of hope.

Well I've looked at the replay many times and I don't see two feet off the floor. His left leg seems to be trailing and sliding on the floor. It's not a two footed lunge at all.

We win 3-1 against a side in the play offs, having been nothing short of a shambles for 2 months and you’ve spent the past 6 pages arguing over a penalty that has no real meaning?

God almighty. Talk about the great performances and the great win and how it felt good again at 5 o clock after a hard fought win.

We get your point. Move on ffs

@Onside87@Onside87 I honestly do not see the point in berating city fans about being fickle or apathetic as I would consider it as part of the DNA of fans in the lower leagues. Your opinion about our prospects of going down are in-line with the majority of fans on this board. Obviously there are a few who are optimistic that our new manager might breath new life into the team. I very rarely quote stats as I personally don’t find them useful, others swear by them. Football is a passionate game played by human beings on grass not computer screens, and I have seen far too many scenarios when the stuff played on grass has beaten the computer screens.

I am not sure why any city fan wants to take a pop at our own fans for no other reason than being optimistic. Who knows what the future holds, we shall have to wait and see. I personally think it is a massive hill to climb, but I am always optimistic that we just might:)

Solid team performance that matched Peterborough.... But WITH the cutting edge in the end!

Difference today was real quality from Butterfield - ran the show. Outshone Maddison.

Masterstroke or just more knowledgeable about a player's best position?

I think you'll be on your own with that view.

Butterfield had more impact in every way that matters. Looked every inch a championship player todày.

Butterfield in his natural, more attacking guise was an absolute joy to watch and at times I had to pinch myself that he's actually here playing for us. The joy in his face when he scored too... beautiful.

    We can do this.

Well done City, well done Bowyer!

What are you going on about now? I know what constitutes a foul these days, i've been watching the game long enough. My views are on the penalty decision, i've watched it back countless times looking for anything that constitutes a 'careless' tackle in the eyes of the official. All i can see is Caddis winning the ball with a perfectly timed tackle, not dangerous, not out of control, if anything he has one leg slightly raised which he tries to pull back after winning the ball, its near physically impossible to have both feet on the floor when executing a slide tackle, one is always above the other, just like in this tackle. I've exhausted myself anyway, i'll leave you to debate this with someone who agrees with you. Good luck finding someone.

Are you expecting a prize or national recognition of your
negativity if we do go down? If you care about the club
you should be hoping and supporting.Better to say I cheered
them on and we survived rather than I told you so if we go
    down.

A big factor is January recruitment we didn't need Butterfield or a centre half who can't get in the Squad yet another midfielder who can't get a game and an injury ravages full back. We did need some width some proper competition at centre back and a physical forward. Hopkin had a poor hand but he had the opportunity to make it better and he failed
