We have had very winnable games in Jan and Feb and only picked up 2 wins. The next two months are more difficult with a manager who people think will be good because he managed two other clubs in crisis.
I can only see 3 games where we have a chance of winning to be honest and 2 of them are away. We are down.

Why have I got to be optimistic? I didn’t buy into Hopkin and I don’t buy into Bowyer. We are scraping the shit bin because no one else wanted the job. We might as well have let Collins carry on for the season because let’s face it he couldn’t have done any worse.
I’m not now going to start pretending to feel like our fortunes will change with 11 games to go.
I remember at the turn of the year and people on here were saying we could win 7 games in the following 2 months.. We won two! Which included scraping past Shrewsbury. You can pretend that a man more boring and dour than David Hopkin can turn our squad into something it hasn’t been all season but I will remain being realistic. If that's ok?

You might be right but I couldn’t live my life that way. Whilst there is Hope I will remain realistic but optimistic if that’s all right

So because I aren’t optimistic about Bowyer or our chances of survival then that’s a reflection on how I live my life? Strange.
Our fans are the most fickle and apathetic I have ever known. I couldn’t live my life like that.

I really for the life can't understand how Bowyer can be described ''scraping the shit bin'', sorry but that's absolutely laughable. The bloke is well regarded for the jobs he did with Blackburn and a promotion under his CV at Blackpool under the circumstances was quite impressive.

All the suggestions that I've seen are no better, pretty pathetic comment to be fair.

As I said.. Scraping the bottom of a very deep bin. There are plenty of managers in the EFL working miracles with low budgets and useless owners, so forgive me for not getting sucked into the excitement of him being our saviour. That is far more laughable.

I've seen no shouts of Bowyer being our saviour or anybody being excited. I've seen people say he's a good steady appointment with a history of having some success. Who would your idea of our ''saviour'' been, who would of got you excited? Just because Bowyer did well under restraints shouldn't be held against him in any way, surely it should be a positive thing I don't understand your point or the logic behind it.

"Both Mowbray and Bowyer are steady hands who lack that tactical nous to take that step to top 6 or top 2. Neither are good at setting up a solid foundation for the team in defence. Both constantly play with 2 limited holding midfielders, leaving the best central midfielder wide on the right. Also Mowbray like Bowyer continuously keeps faith with certain players who are proven to not be good enough."

Oh and he had a very good team at Blackburn.

    I cannot wait.

Probably wise to play Woods at LB to deal with Maddison.

At Blackburn he had the smallest squad in the Championship and one of the smallest in the whole football league and I believe they were under an embargo at the time aswell as dealing with a bit of an injury crisis.

The quote you have taken I know where it has come from and you have picked one quote from a thread which has mixed views, I'd say more approved of Bowyer than not on that thread.

Yet Mowbray and Bowyer gained promotion with Blackburn and Blackpool respectively
