Who offered him the contract? Should he have said no thanks im not good enough to play for Bradford at 20 years old with zero league experience and walked away?

Hardly a consistent approach when another poster insults @Ricc@Ricc and their post is not deleted

Sheff Utd are doing well, so we cash in more at the end of the season.

    Handy for next years deficit.

I think Devine needs confidence in himself. Something that was knocked out of him with his injuries then being played as back up right back every now and then. A settled run within a settled set up would see him blossom IMO.

Fake News @Ricc@Ricc !!!! :eek2: He certainly did score for Yeovil. (once)

    Here you go!
‘New signing Omari Patrick lifted Yeovil Town to the dizzy heights of fifth in League Two - as he showed a turn of pace that runs in the family.

Patrick clinched three points for the Glovers as he scored the winner just minutes after being sent on for his debut as a second-half substitute’. https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/sport/football/omari-patricks-speedy-impact-yeovil-1961477

Your credibility as an objective poster, who researches and considers before he posts, is well.....:joy:

Could be Drury Bronco, but this is happening too often for
something not to be wrong with our coaching. If we had
Doyle's goals this season we would be clear top and coasting!

Bottom line: Doyle is effective in the right team.

Here, he was ineffective. And idle.

At Swindon, he is in the right place at the right time - not to be confused with a workhorse.

He would be much better staying at Swindon than coming back here - anyone who cannot see that I have to wonder about...

Wow your a hard man to please,
You can only beat whats infront of you, that first goal wasn't easy IMO the ball was actually played behind him.
Alan Clarke (maybe before your day) a great striker for both Leicester and Leeds who was known as "sniffer" as he was a predator in the box, many of his goals coming from other players hard graft getting the ball into the box, but boy could he finish.

Just had a look. They love him dont they. Maybe he has found his level, or maybe we get back a player at the end of January full of confidence and ready to push on here. I suspect the former, but would love to be proved wrong

Good move for him to get some regular minutes, the initial 1 month seems to suggest it's a trail with a view to a longer term loan which would be a great opportunity to put himself in the shop window in the summer.

He isn't good enough for League 2 football either.

He picks up a wage and isn't justifying that wage so yeh, he is open to criticism.

    you're joking, right?

okay so we're never again allowed to criticise any players, because 'its not their fault'.

it's not just league 1 he wasn't good enough for, it's also league 2, national league, national league regional, isthmian premier, under 23 premier league, reserve league, midlands league, sunday league.... the list goes on.

the kid is absolutely, unequivocally rubbish at football.

Good luck to him. He raised everybodys expectations of him with that winner against Blackpool on debut. I do agree to a point with some of the comments on this thread in so much that if you are an 18 year old car salesman doing well at a local, small independent dealership, and suddenly Aston Martin come along and offer you a very generous package to join them, you snap their hands off and take it in a heartbeat. From your point of view, the experience you'll gain working in the big leagues is invaluable. You'll learn from the best, develop yourself into something better and who knows where that will lead to. But the pressure of working at that level becomes too much, times have changed and they need instant results rather than afford the time to nurture someone making their way in the game and even though you're essentially doing the same job as before, Aston Martin let you go.

Thats as much on Aston Martins recruitment policy as anything else.

I deleted your post and explained it to you as you well know. In the recent past you have also been asked to stop goading other posters. If you want to be taken seriously on here, I suggest you start acting like an adult and stop treating this site as a school playground.

I don't recall anybody being sanctioned for having a dissenting voice or disagreeing with other posters on here. Such views are part and parcel of an internet forum. But we draw a line at posters either goading other posters on the site or being offensive to others. If you want to do that then don't act surprised when we take action.
