To be fair I’d love that although I’m not sure McCall would take a step down. It’s been raised a few times on here about McCall being a good coach and you can probably see that how he is with the players, unfortunately though he just isn’t management material.

Sunderland and Bolton are the wrong type of club for him. He needs a club where the fans believe they're overachieving or where they've hit rock bottom.

Bolton and Sunderland still think they're Premiership clubs so even when they're doing okay they believe they're underachieving and won't put up with his style. Some of our fans laughably got that mindset too once we got into league one.
