Oxford have only conceded twice in the last 11 I think and we created is a testament to how much going forward we improved and a clean sheet speaks for itself

He's not very good, quite obviously, that's why.

I have no idea why his team winning a football game should have any impact on his innate ability?

I like him and I'd love him to score but really at 24, I don't think he is going to improve sufficiently to be an asset to us, or any L1 team.

 

He did Ok. But to suggest he won the majority of his headers is garbage. We both know it.

 

double post, but on the subject of Bruenker - he had an average game. which is being over egged because every other game he's been awful.
he wasn't 'good' but he wasn't 'bad' either. he was a 6.

he's not good enough to have any meaningful or lasting impact at in English league football. he might make a useful squad player in the national league north. maybe BPA could use him.

 

I actually agree that at the moment there isn't an alternative and for that reason, Bruenker should play.

my main point was regarding people over stating his performance, making out he's having a blinder or playing really well to over compensate because of the criticism he gets on here.

The 120 minutes on Tuesday against the mighty Aldershot really took it out of the lads
We needed to rest a few players but the squads just not big enough and with our injuries etc etc etc

The one thing not being taken into account here is the fact Oxford won't be parking the bus. Hmm, now is that a good thing or bad thing?!

In case anybody is interested, as of this afternoon we had sold over 3,000 £1 tickets for Saturday. (My old man asked the ticket office staff)

By my reckoning, we’ll have sold about 5,000 come 5pm Friday, give or take a few hundred.

Assuming majority of ST holders show up, plus away fans, we’ll be back to somewhere near the 20,000 mark.

If that doesn’t spur this lot on to victory against a fellow relegation threatened side then we might as well give up!

Think most of the pounders will be open mouthed and pointing at the flying thing in the sky with the banner attached.

 

I think the real reason the fans aren't turning up is due to the lack of half time dancers. No coincidence that there's been a drop in attendance since the dancers stopped.

 

Lets hope he and others will be returning at the start of the New Year
