Clubs going out of business would that be funny too for you?

Be funny if Bradford City went out of business wouldn't it? Seriously!

He didn’t mention anything about going out of business.

And on that, I’m sure the football authorities will step up with any interest free loans, this isn’t caused by bad financial planning after all...Plus, I think banks will offer payment holidays etc, because well, they have to.

    No mate.

Clubs will go under if this continues for much longer and no one knows when or if it's going to come to an end.

Even Ryan Sparks said yesterday that clubs will struggle including us. Don't be clouded.

This isn't a funny situation. Right now Bradford City are losing money, next week they will be losing money and so on and so on.

If the authorities don’t step in and help, then there’s no competition left, they have to.

And I personally wouldnt object either - they're certain to win it. But it could set a precedent, in an unprecedented situation. If Liverpools position is confirmed, you can bet your arse that any other club with a vested interest in Champions League qualification, or relegation, or promotion TO the premier league will make the same demand based on where they currently stand.

They might but Liverpool won 27 games out of 29 it's not even an argument.

The rest I don't know but even Ollie said if the season ended and Utd finished 5th then so be it.

There is something of a recent precedent. Chile cancelled its season last year because of the riots. They didn’t play the last six games, so similar(ish) stage to Europe.
The clubs agreed to abandon relegation but name Universidad Catolica (who were clear) as champion.
People have to remember the PL and ELF are different bodies. PL could say no promotion to PL this season.

PL are meeting on Thursday to see how the season would end if not completed so we will find out then.

From a common sense perspective I agree. But when you really get into it, and money starts to come into the equation, in an economy that could lose dive like nothing weve ever seen, you just dont know what will happen. It could get very messy.

In the plus side, it could mean that we never have to endure Hope Akpan, Adam Henley or Kelvin Mellor in Bradford City shirts ever again!!!

If we don't play out the season even if behind closed doors it will be a mess but this is why the season might have to end in Aug- September if it has too.

Next season is next season. It can be moved and changed.

What would be appreciated would be to hear something from our owner or Julian regarding the clubs views and plans, the lack of contact to fans does not help.
Just been watching Mark Palios the Tranmere Rovers owner being interviewed he has spoken about there pitch being relayed and needing twelve weeks to develop it. Talked about contingency plans asking the league if they could play first few games away from home. He also said the players would get a week off from training and sports scientists are devising a programme for players. Also looked at the Port Vale site yesterday they were extending a couple of players contracts some clubs are trying to be positive.
I know times are difficult but as fans, season ticket holders members and sponsors we do need more from the club. If I heard something positive I would renew my family’s season tickets early but not at the moment.

I think they could absorb a delay of a month. Any more and it becomes a big problem. I don't think they'd entertain the idea of finishing this season in August/Sept, I genuinely don't. Because then the players would need at least 6 weeks to combine a break and training for next season. Probably more. So the idea of a season that STARTS in Oct/Nov, with a deferred summer tournament to squeeze in as well..... I can' see it. Unless they cancel the Euros, but that creates a different set of problems too.

It really all depends on your thinking.

If you're thinking about the fans then this could go on for months or even YEARS because right now no one knows what's what with this virus.

If you're thinking football is a job then we need to looks at behind closed doors and footballers have to get on with their jobs like everyone else. If a player or a team has it then they can't play but the the rest can.

The only reason they're no games this weekend is because Artha got it, if it would of been a fan it would have continued. Footballers are not supernatural and we need to stop treating them so. Get back to work!

Ryan Sparks gave a full interview on Radio Leeds yesterday and there is another piece in the T&A today. At the moment the club is carrying on as usual assuming the season will start again April 4th.
Until there is an update from the EFL there is little else they can say

Until we know just how this situation will pan out any talk from the club would be pure speculation. Better off waiting till nearer April 4th to see what the news of the virus is. Interesting that the date coincides with end of the financial year, not sure if its just coincidence or it has some part to play in the decision.

Rhodes and Rupp hide behind Ryan Sparks now.

Ryan spoke about it yesterday and to be fair to him gave an honest interview.

Doubt you will hear from Rhodes he has Ryan has his mouth.

    Well he wasn't.

Rhodes changed it to that because he's a coward and doesn't want to front fans.

It was recently changed in his job description but let's be honest it's Rhodes and Rupp people want to hear from.

Anyway, more pressing things to talk about.
