No cash entry for Plymouth match at any turnstile !!!!!!!!!

I wonder if the OP bothered to ring the club regarding requesting this information? I ring away clubs for ticket information and they are always clear and forthcoming with it. Never once had a problem getting through either unlike Valley Parade which can be hit and miss.

 

We are probably all making a mountain out of a molehill here (myself included)

 

I don’t tend to look for info on the city website but this info should be on there to find. If it isn’t it should be rectified. A simple phone call would have prevented a five page thread mind.

Regarding the pay on the gate. This season, as with many clubs we require payment at the ticket office for home fans. There is a whole host of reasons, many of which are covered on here.

But the good news is that next year pay on the gate will return. This also ties in with the return of the original format of the flexi card.

Well done to the OP for raising this subject, doesn't affect me but sure it can help get 1 or 2 more latecomers through the turnstile...

 

I find it strange that anybody would travel to an away game with the intention of going to the game without knowing for certain that they'd have a ticket.

Why wouldn't you just buy one beforehand if they're available? If not, arrive at the stadium as early as possible and be one of the first there on the gates?

Surely it just delays you getting into the ground too, especially if the ticket price is (for example) £18 and the lad/lass in the turnstile has to give out change to each individual fan buying them.

I'm not sure as a Sunderland fan we've had any cash turnstiles on any away day that I've been on recently, so this may be an uneducated view.

 

There is a cash turnstile for away fans. This discussion is for home fans. No cash turnstiles in the home end

 

It's so bizarre that they wouldn't have them open in the home end that I didn't even think of that. Apologies to the OP.

 

We haven't had them for a few years. You just have to go to the ticket office and get a ticket before going to the turnstile

 

I went to Rochdale a few weeks ago without a ticket and jee wizz I had to visit the ticket office.
