It depends how you are defining 'worse'. If you go on what looked worse then any sliding challenge that results in a foul looks worse but they both slide in, max power doesn’t go in studs first, doesn’t go over tha ball, doesn’t go in two footed and only commits the foul because the Walsall player gets the first touch. Its a foul, maybe a yellow but not really a red. With an elbow it’s pretty much a red card any day so the only saving grace that NKP would have been it being deemed not a foul

It is an absolute joke. In my view it was never a red card, if his elbow connected with his head it was purely accidental as he was falling over at the time. The other half is really on one, I can honestly say, if he never sees that ref again it will be too soon, not to mention the names he is getting called:(

very similar to the charlie wyke red card at plymouth last season, if i remember correctly that didn’t get overturned either (if we appealed).. knight-percival’s problem is that it was a bent elbow which always looks worse. when the ref blew for the free-kick, i thought he was in trouble.

Do you have access to video clips that can back your comment up, I only have Dmitry's full video of the game and played it back in slow motion and it shows nothing of the actual challenge as it happened, as the camera was well behind play, but I do agree went Drysdale blew so quickly I feared the worst.

But he always does that, he never ever gives himself time to think. However, when one of there players pushed NKP down, he stood there and didn’t know what to do, decided it must be a free kick for them!”! As Deano says don’t give up the day job, but he is probably safe they have had years to assess and sack him and he is still here!

you can see from the two image stills the bend in the right arm and elbow out from knight-percival. i don’t think it was malicious and i don’t think he meant it or went to ‘do’ the guy - i think he was just trying to protect himself and be strong but if that’s all the ref has seen then i can see why he has produced a red card. but i do think he was quick and should have given himself a minute to think / check on the oxford player before coming to a decision. i’ve often thought our strikers, present and past, have never done enough to make the most of challenges they get from centre-halfs.

From a personal involvement with a separate case down here I know they are keen to back the refs in all instances bar a glaring error - reason we were given up front was they backed the refs decision, reason we were given 'off record' was there is such a shortage of decent refs right now they are paranoid about losing the ones they do have to the game. We just have to hope the old adage that these things even themselves out applies over the course of a season - lets face it every team thinks they get more decisions against them than go for them!

I still haven't seen anything that shows me what he's done.

Can't work out why he's been sent off at all.

He just seems to run into Percival from a blind angle. I don't think NKP even knows he is there. Baffling decision but then it was Drysdale.

From NKP after the game, he said he ran into me deliberately. I won't say what he called him but you can imagine.

That just about sums Darren Drysdale up. I would love to watch a game where he is assessed and then read what the assessor says about him. I bet he's passed all his exams though! Just lacking common sense.
