Nah, I don’t think you do!

 

I think we could do with a couple more options on the poll that include mine and probably many others situations, which is I was so disappointed in MH the back end of last season, rightly or wrongly, so I chose not to renew and just pick and choose matches to pay for depending on my various mitigating factors of teams form, my mood, weather or my work etc...So options of I didn't renew and have no intentions as it stands of purchasing next season or I didn't renew but I probably will now MH has gone could be a good idea to add to the poll to get a sightly more accurate take on results.

 

It's a similar story to my dad who stopped going after the club wouldn't let him renew his car park space.

He'd been a season ticket holder for decades and when VP was rebuilt bought a car park space outside the main stand. I forget the timings but possibly due to the upper tier being built I remember my dad just being informed on ST renewal that his space was no longer available and all other car parks were full.

No alternative or discussion of a solution was offered so right there and then he never came to a game again. Must have been 40/50 years of never missing a home match and in the end it counted for absolutely nothing.

Very poor from the club but I can imagine that there's lots and lots of similar examples up and down the football pyramid over the years. You're absolutely just a number to keep fleecing, nobody should ever think otherwise.

 

Most will renew due to the cheap prices even if they see 10 games
We will just see 17k attendances with 9k actually in the ground.
Fans that may want to move seats, cannot because of this.

 

If someone already has the seat though and renews before the deadline I'm not sure what you're expecting b the club to do. They can't force people to use their season tickets?

 

Exactly.
It’s the catch 22 of cheap season tickets.
People will buy because they are cheap and not be bothered if they only go to a few games as the tickets are so cheap.

 

It’s my point exactly hence why this post is irrelevant.
Ppl whine and moan, but in reality will still be renewing regardless.

 

That happened to us. We had a car park space at the side of the stadium. It was the upper stand that was being built. When we went to the office to renew we were told we didn’t have a space anymore. I did ask how ppl were selected and were told nothing that made any sense.

Even in the Timber Yard where you have to walk Midland Road twice fans are not given priority. Press and Away Fans VIP. So even if you get there early you are told to drive down to the bottom of the yard so you have further to walk. So we are paying for the press and away fans VIP’s.

In the end you are a number you are correct.

 

Next season... Question has to be would you renew when we're down in non-league
