I am in the not sure category. We recently had to move seats due to my husbands back and knee problem. The new seats they put in just about crippled him. So we went up into the posh seats where there is a lot more room, but expensive and we had an increase in price this year to use a facility that has not had any upgrade and the food has deteriorated in my view. We don’t use it anymore.
I hate this division, we rarely get to see a good entertaining level of football. My husband has been going since he was 10 years old, so 66 years. I have been going since 1967. We have obviously missed a number of games during that time, but I would guess attend more than we have missed. We didn’t bother with ST until the Midland Road was built and apart from 1 year for me Taylor, we have always had one.
This last couple of years it has been by and large boring at best and downright awful. The parking round the ground has become very limited unless you get there about 12. My husband can’t walk very far without a lot of pain. We have tried using the paid for car parks, but we got shunted into the Timber Yard and we can get it for free for the same distance. We tried using public transport but ended up getting home at 7:30pm thanks to all the road works in Bradford. The only thing that works well is a taxi there and back £30 return. The parking adjacent to the ground is not available.
At the moment my husband doesn’t want to renew as he doesn’t think the expense and effort required is worth it. Obviously, he might change his mind if the team start to play, but it most definitely up in the air atm.

I want to take my daughter next year as she's turning 7 so about time. My dad says I should wait till we are winning regularly and doing well so that she gets hooked on the feel good atmosphere and doesn't get put off. On that basis she's not going to set foot inside VP until around the 53/54 season.

I’ve bought a season ticket every year for 30 years this is the first time I’m undecided.
I’ve bought STs even when we’re have struggled but I’ve not always gone, I chose to do that as I know not buying one no matter how small the impact still has an impact.
with previous owners and CEOs we knew where we stood but the current set up promises lots and delivers nowt they give us sound bites and promises that look empty almost immediately. I think this spin and fake news coming out has just started to piss ppl off and I for one don’t have the same motivation to continue to buy something with any return

When my best friend could no longer go who I went home and away with all over the country I was genuinely gutted, for a number of reasons. But then a guy I know who was probably more of acquaintance at the time but is now a good friend, and those I sit near are like a community with all different characters. I realised probably then more than ever that football is more than just the 90 minutes and the clowns that run the club. It was a life saver at the time. Then when you see what Norwich put out on mental health day really reinforced it for me, despite it being a different club all together.
So yes I’ll be there, but I won’t stop criticising those at the top failing us despite what one or two think.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
im not sure if its because the recruitment was so protracted? Or is it because the consensus seems to be that we ultimately need Rupp out before we can ultimately move forward as a club, and no matter how many times we replace the manager, the problem lies deeper?
on paper GA is a good appointment but it just seems whatever happens at the moment, we’re probably stuck in L2 for ANOTHER year and we’re feeling a bit lost.
It feels like the heart has been ripped out of the club tbh. -

He'd been a season ticket holder for decades and when VP was rebuilt bought a car park space outside the main stand. I forget the timings but possibly due to the upper tier being built I remember my dad just being informed on ST renewal that his space was no longer available and all other car parks were full.
No alternative or discussion of a solution was offered so right there and then he never came to a game again. Must have been 40/50 years of never missing a home match and in the end it counted for absolutely nothing.
Very poor from the club but I can imagine that there's lots and lots of similar examples up and down the football pyramid over the years. You're absolutely just a number to keep fleecing, nobody should ever think otherwise.JonButterfield, Onside, CRASS and 2 others like this. -

Me and the wife had this conversation last week and we both at the minute aren't too bothered about going again next season. We will likely renew because it's a habit, but it's not fun at City anymore. The atmosphere in VP has been dross for a little while now. Football hasn't been great for some time either. Catching up with pals at HT or pre-game is more enjoyable than anything on the pitch these days. I think I've opted to not go to more games so far this season than ever before at this point in the calendar. Last weekend I decided to stay home, the wife had some friends coming round to see our puppy and sitting in the front room with the game on the TV, making brews and watching my dog be a tornado puppy for an hour or two seemed far more interesting than witnessing GAs first game in person.

At least the supporters board have got their finger on the pulse
Zumba at HT,space invader machines and pool tables on the concourses seem to be high on the worry list of most fans on here.
Never mind the trivial stuff like hardcore genuine home and away supporting fans questioning whether they’ll get a season ticket for next year.Jayteebee, Onside, Inspector and 1 other person like this. -

I think a good portion of the fanbase have already written this season off, but on the same hand don't have any faith in the recruitment for next season. We're a club without an identity again and I don't see that changing anytime soon unless the owner packs up or we actually dish out a plan of action, recruit to marry the model and have a proper setup on deck.CRASS, vladimir, borderlescott and 1 other person like this. -

Sounds like you're not being treated too well, unfortunately, which is a real shame after all these years.
It feels more and more like City operates like a cattle market - more interesting in 'processing' the numbers than individual support.Inspector, Jayteebee, WilsdenBantam and 1 other person like this. -

My wife and I will definitely renew.
But more out of loyalty than anything else.
City is our team and it’s what we both enjoy(ha ha) doing together on a match day.
As with lots of fans I suspect that we may be having this exact same discussion in 12/18 months time as I
cant see any massive changes off the field.
Sparks isn’t getting sacked as he’s doing exactly what Rupp is asking him to do and unless a bigger offer comes along ( possible but unlikely) he’s not leaving of his own volition.
All we can hope is that this manager is the one who gives us what we all hope for.
Unfortunately we’ve also hoped that on numerous previous occasions.Bronco, Salty and Rogered Tart like this. -

Ill probably reluctantly renew and then try and find an excuse every week not to go, like has often been the case in L2.
if boycotts are organised though, I won’t renew mine or the three kids tickets.
Solidarity is the only way to make such things work, not fans undermining it.Jayteebee, vladimir and JonButterfield like this. -
I'm genuinely not sure. I've attended fewer home games this season for a number of reasons, work, train strikes, poor entertainment etc. Also those who've sat around me have also stayed away, so the times I've been it's not had the same buzz as years gone by. I want entertainment, I'd like to see us win and win with the authority of a good team, as GA spoke about in his first press conference. I want to see signs that the club are planning for the next 5 years and beyond, not the next 12 months. As it stands I can't see us making the play offs. There'll be another mass turnover of players and another period of bedding in. Oh the joys of being a city fan.
