Want an experienced manager Alexander or adkin, someone that leaves the kids in developing squad arrange behind closed door games or bring back the reserve league. You don't win with kids drip feed in in cups or end of season once safe / pre season. Want experience players

As much as I think that giving a younger manager a chance rather than someone older who's been on the constant managerial merry-go-round. Could offer us something new and exciting that gets the supporters feeling more positive again.

This might not be the time to do it. It's obviously a gamble at any time, as is appointing any manager. Putting a rookie or very inexperienced gaffer in charge of this shower could prove to be disastrous and put the club's league status in doubt. What worries me is those that will be making the appointment. The new CEO will need guidance, which probably means JR and his far from glowing record of managerial appointments.

Personally, I think we need a very nasty, defensively minded, hard ba#&@+d that can keep us in the league. To be brutally honest, even the best manager we could find may struggle to turn this squad into a fairly decent League Two team. It's one of, if not the, poorest team that we've seen in a very long time. I doubt that anyone could transform BRE into a solid defender.

I’d like to see Parkin, out of work, knows the club inside out, always came across as someone you wouldn’t mess with.
Bring Allenby back with him as well, Parky may well see coming back as a backwards move but Parkin might fancy a go in the hot seat.....
I seem to remember he did a reasonable job at Rochdale years ago before he teamed up with PP.

Why would anyone who knows this club inside out actually want to come here?

Fresh appointment for me. Going back is a bad idea.

If we went younger and unproven if move everything we had to get Liam Rosenior from Derby county.

Looks like he’s gonna be overlooked for the job to Rooney but everyone you hear talk about him or write about him talks so highly of him.

He’s been first team coach at derby for a while and when he’s on the coverage for the efl he talks so well. Maybe too early this job for him but who knows. Experienced number 2 to come with him

He'd absolutely terrify that squad. Imagine him witnessing yesterday's latest defensive collapse on the sidelines? He'd probably have blown a blood vessel within half an hour of them kicking off and chased BRE along the touchline into the dressing room. They shouldn't give him the job though, he'd last about a fortnight before walking away, probably after assaulting a few of them and complaining what a tin pot club City are.

In Parkin's case, because he knows if he could get it right and competing at the other end of the league. There's not that many clubs in the bottom 2 divisions that can compete with that atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon.

Agree-it would be total carnage at Apperley Bridge, bodies everywhere and if BRE was scared by the rozzers politely handcuffing him what would a snarling Roy Keane do to him. He would need to train in adult nappies.

Listened to a podcast about Paulo di Canio as a manager recently and he would terrify our squad. Did a good job at this level under Swindon not sure it works longer term

Please not Woodgate. It has to be an experienced man for me. We’re too close to the trap door.

Hopefully someone who doesn’t come in and say he wants to give this lot a chance to prove themselves. No bloody way, we’ve suffered years of decline with some of this lot. First opportunity to get rid, do it.

I know it’s early and any sort of money moves the market but where’s he come from in the betting? It’s a different one. If it’s Turnbull in as we expect I can’t see any previous links

No idea. Maybe it’s just bookmakers throwing names into a hat and first one out is the favourite.

Sounds quality - set up a Go Fund Me page for a 2 week Roy Keane contract.
