Why should we assume 15,000 if at the present time we can't get 12,000 when asking 169 pounds, come on @Norman Corner@Norman Corner think about it.

We only get the gates we do because of cheap tickets. If prices rose to £300 we would be lucky to get 7000. A’s it is we have income based on the tickets we have sold to about a team averaging about 6500 at average prices.
We probably also have higher expenses than most in the league with stadium rent and the upkeep of what is a large ground.
As income will fall heavily this year it is obvious cut backs will be needed.

So what you are saying is that Bradford City supporters (cough cough) are NOT prepared to put their money where their mouths are.

Even a modest increase to £200 per ST would give an additional £480-500k at 15k STs. That's a good chunk of change for the player kitty

I suppose your response sums Bradford up.

    Such a shame.

What about the difference between what we took in money in their first season and the budget set. Estimated loss of 1 million. last year it was £700k. This year assuming we set the same budget it will be 1.5 million. Who do you think covers that

Thats what Rochdale are trying to do to shift season tickets, doesn't really work. First and foremost the product has to sell the tickets. Your problem over time comes when you drop the price of your product it's nigh on impossible to put it back up. Fans have bought into the cheap ticket scenario. The price should really be £199 at it's cheapest and go from there. if you decide that you want to renew in the summer after seeing the club make a statement of intent then i would go to somewhere round £275, more than the cheap ticket deal but not a steep enough rise to make it unaffordable.

Agree, and you have never heard me whinging about paying on the gate, this last 5 years.
Even when an ST holder (at discounted prices) I still dug deep and spent my 'saving'. Both my eldest Grand Kids got a full replica strip each year, from me.
But there again, you need to be 'Old School' to appreciate the value of supporting 'Your Club'.

I think based on the income we have there is little chance of him getting the budget he wants. If he does then it’s a sign somebody is putting a lot of money in

Why would I be watching Grayson’s teams on a regular basis? Blackpool, Town, Leeds, Preston and Sunderland, right? I have no interest any any of those clubs so no, I haven’t watched a Grayson team before he joined Bradford...!

Bearing in mind we are struggling to sell more than 12k at £174 what chance would we have of selling more at almost double. Silly statement.

Besides, the club have set the price for this season and those interested have renewed. Have you ever gone back into a shop after buying something and offering to pay nearly double what you had originally been charged??

Park, I think it is the ONLY way to go if we accept that (other than paying running costs) they are not prepared to invest. Out of interest, do you think they planned on achieving their 3 year promotion target using this method?

Fordy, you were a *@?$ on c&b, and your a *@?$ on here. Give him chance to shift the crap disinterested idiots that have sulked through 2018 and then judge him. His in his first dozen years of management is promotion every three years. Who cares if it's tippy tappy, we just want to go up.

I recall that there was a McCall, transfer fighting fund, where fans who wanted to ‘donate’ to the managers transfer kitty could do so and that would have been great! ;) (Poet and didn’t know it).

I never saw a figure published.

I am fairly sure that the Club would welcome donations from fans who want to pay more than £169/£149?

I can sense that there may well be some posters who would like to start a scheme once again. Lets see action!

I’d give him a shout, “Hey Stephen, you appear to have accidentally left your CV on my desk. Do you want to come back for it or shall I file it in the waste paper bin” ;)

I doubt we will either, but just having that little bit of hope there is enough for me. If we give it a good go and still miss out, I'll be happy that we've come through a really bad patch and seen a bit of effort from the lads.
