Next city manager

We would all love a city nut with more money than sense willing to pump millions in and not want anything in return. Sadly unless you know anyone I don’t think there is one.So the club has to be run in business lines now you could do it the way Mark and Julian did it and gamble and if it didn’t work claw back but people on here hated the deficit or you could pile debt on the club very risky or we could ask the Germans to gamble not only on covering the deficit but millions above that in the hope we would win promotion but what if we didn’t would it be same again next year and the year after.
The two owners have made mistakes and their man management has been abysmal. But they were trying a different longer term but more sustainable way buy speculating on younger players and developing our own to sell on and using g the money to improve. To me that seems a worthwhile way to go

Well if the owners don't back the new manager with decent transfer funds and we keep buying dosh from lower div 1 & div 2 then many people who did renew this time won't next season for sure.

 

Sorry mate I just don't get that, they said they were looking at clubs and decided on us because they liked the location and the way it had been run in the past, yet there model was nothing like the way it was run in the past, and sorry but I personally expect the owners to invest in the club rather than fans, I as yourself have been watching Bradford City for a long time and paid whatever the then owners wanted with regards the price of the coming season ticket price and I would in the future if they increase it.
The problem then is could many others who may not have the money to pay 350/400 pounds for a ticket, and after taking over the club and making statements that we are a poor City and they will keep season ticket prices within a certain range, making a massive statement that is we reached the Premiership they would only charge the nominal fee of 1 pound, I very much doubt they would hike season ticket prices.
These guys have bought the club as an investment and I accept if the club does well we as fans should see better football in a higher league, but the owners will be getting a better return on their investment, so sorry mate I can't agree that they shouldn't be the ones making the investment.

Agree, and you have never heard me whinging about paying on the gate, this last 5 years.
Even when an ST holder (at discounted prices) I still dug deep and spent my 'saving'. Both my eldest Grand Kids got a full replica strip each year, from me.
But there again, you need to be 'Old School' to appreciate the value of supporting 'Your Club'.

I like the theory and principle ............... But we're talking BCAFC, here. It would take our Club staff the whole of close season to get their heads around it !

 

They can say ,what they like ,about £1 season tickets ,it will never happen .

 

Why would I be watching Grayson’s teams on a regular basis? Blackpool, Town, Leeds, Preston and Sunderland, right? I have no interest any any of those clubs so no, I haven’t watched a Grayson team before he joined Bradford...!

 

Bearing in mind we are struggling to sell more than 12k at £174 what chance would we have of selling more at almost double. Silly statement.

Besides, the club have set the price for this season and those interested have renewed. Have you ever gone back into a shop after buying something and offering to pay nearly double what you had originally been charged??
