6.3.1 50% of the Net Gate Receipts shall be paid into the Pool Account referred to in Article 65;

6.3.2 the remaining 50% of the Net Gate Receipts shall be divided equally between the two Clubs taking part in each Final Play-Off match.

 

That is what the rules say but it has been covered in the press previously that the winners donated their share to the losers

As you stated we are well in the rules to do what we want and looking at the aftermath of that day I think if that decision was taken it was well made . Just because the teams in your links are heading to the promised land of the premier league doesn’t mean we have to follow suit .

I personally think it’s just more edin bashing for the sake of it without any foundation that it actually happened

 

I really don’t get your reasoning. We pass on receiving the full gate money if we lose, so that we could receive more if we win? We lose and only receive 50%, how does that decision benefit the club? Just to clarify I am getting this right. We are promoted and don’t receive any of the gat3 receipts, but we know we have just had a fantastic increase in revenue due to promotion. We lose and we receive all of the gate as compensation for losing? But no we decide, if this happened waive this practice and gamble on winning so we can have the 50% gate money as well. I honestly can’t see you think that was the right decision.

 

Not sure if this one is just made up Edin bashing. From the bit of digging I’ve done it is common practice for the winners to donate their share but not sure if it is discussed before, I just thought it just happened after.

To be honest I’m not fussed either way. It is a decision that was made and we lost out, if we had won the game we would have been quids in. It was a gamble and it didn’t pay off, but I wouldn’t say it is massive in the great scheme of things. Probably only missed out on roughly what our sponsors have been under paying every year compared to other teams

 

Well those examples are from the Championship but if there as been an agreement by the club for a 100% pay day for the loser it's not covered in the rules of the competition.
Totally different from the FA Cup I know but Arsenal were stopped by the FA from donating all the gate receipts to Sutton when they won their FA Cup game there.

This is not a known practise so not sure we’re this has been dreamt up all of a sudden .Its happened yes but don’t believe it happens every play off final. If so show us some proof ? As some Leicester fans talking about it on a message Boaed doesn’t cut it . Maybe we just wanted to stick to the rules that are in place for a reason .Who knows because no one actually knows if it is fact or fiction so to second guess only adds to the constant conspiracy theories we keep reading with no evidence .

I feel the OP Digging something up from last may with not a jot of evidence just to have a go at the chairmen is just looking for something to moan about but that seems the norm now instead of looking at how poor our home form has been all season even with stuart in Charge and the total lack of effort made by our players since Losing to Wimbledon who were bottom of the league before Christmas . This season has been a disaster for everyone connected to the club from the chairmen ,Abbott to stuart now to Grayson and the players but the constant attacking of one person is pretty boring now when the bigger picture is everyone of them has contributed to our downfall in one way or another .

You don’t know we lost out on 25 % because you don’t know if it’s true or not which is kinda my point . Your choosing too believe it is . That’s fine But We lost out because we didn’t win the game . The prize money is irrelevant to be honest .
Lets blame edin for stuart setting up the wrong team and formation or for billy clarke not scoring the one on one eh ? All fact as the result shows .

You don’t know it hasn’t. So the press are lying as well, amazing. I know exactly why we didn’t win that match, and I don’t need you in your high righteousness tower to tell me either. I am not the type to jump on anybody’s bandwagon, once again telling me what I am and what I am not. Anyway it is quite clear to me that I don’t want to get into any further discussion with you, but I am sure you will come up with your own conclusions on that score as well.
