Ismail is cack but Devitt is a good footballer, has been for a few years now at this level, surely he's not 100% fit? Can't think of another reason seeing as we are pretty short of good footballers.

Donaldson was captain and now he's now. Donaldson also has hardly been in the team also. It's fair to say Novak is our number forward now under McCall isn't it?

 

Why doubt it? He's talked about some players not showing the right level of dedication and effort, wouldn't surprise me if Ismail is one of those players.

 

Pretty much everything I've read coming out of VP since Stuart's arrival suggests that the focus is on who is going to be here next season for a genuine promotion push.

He can suggest that not making Donaldson captain is forcing him out (completely fanciful) but saying some players aren't trying (very possible) doesnt fit his narrative so he ignores that possibility!!

I too quite can't believe he's not been in any squad since SMc returned. Maybe he just doesn't rate him, does happen.

It's been poor so far, no one wanting to bring it down and play, to say the poor weather they've had down there the pitch is holding up well, it looks far better than Wednesday night against Salford.

If McCall turns this around then I will have to acknowledge it. In my view at this point nothing has changed. Nothing has improved.

Lets see how we get on today.

A win isn’t any certain proof but it will be a step in the right direction and a good result in difficult conditions. A draw would be a disappointing marking time result. A defeat and McCall needs, along with the players, to take some ownership.

 

This is proper football m8, not like them fancy dans in the premier league etc etc. Pure spectacle.
