He's got 3 clean sheets in his past 4 games, which is good progress for our previously abysmal defence.

Not sure Portsmouth have any intention of selling Bass, though, he's here for game time.

Good points. I sit next to a lad who goes to every game and we were laughing when I told him so fans didn't even rate Colin Doyle.

Mind you, go read the early comments about Pickford and it's a though we got loaned a pup.

I think Bass is superb, because he's obviously a very positive character in anything we did. We've just played four tough matches and only conceded in one and that's with a makeshift defence. Bass has made a difference.

Bass would probably cost money and there's probably as good a keeper out there, we can get for free. But who knows, maybe he'll be back next season.

Exactly what we all said about Pickford. Of course Bass is not in that class. But I like his attitude - as like England's No.1 he never hides and that throw he made in the first half was like having Pickford back!!

The problem I saw a lot was Hendrie being given the ball by Songo in near impossible positions. Songo would pass the ball wide to Hendrie who was quickly closed down. Songo himself was closed down preventing the return pass, so the only "out" was the ball down the line and none of the forwards or midfielders made that run. I thought Hendrie had a decent game
