    Agree completely, what's the point in strengthening the quality and depth of the squad just to let one of the higher earners who've actually done something last season move on straight away, in effect, weakening it again. Signing Vaughan and letting Doyle go leaves us pretty much where we were before Vaughan signed

    I actually agree with you to be honest. Maybe too early for Paudie to be handed the captains armband permanently yet?, be interesting to see who it will be though.

    Vaughan is exactly the type of player we needed last season for Doyle to play off. Letting him leave now would be a bad move.

    That might be the way to get the best out of him. GB will know which player is likely to get the best out of the team. I am really impressed with GB man management.

    He didn't really do anything. Take out the penalties and his all round game was poor.

    O'Connor, Riley and Akpan out then 2 centre mids, a horrible, experienced centre half and a left winger then we're pretty much done.

    Maybe a young pacy striker on loan if the budget stretches.

    Very optimistic about the upcoming season assuming we can resolve the midfield gaps.

    Let's hope he finds his scoring boots at City. 3 year contract for a chap with 10 goals in 71 games....

    Doyle needed a player more like Donaldson than Vaughan.

    Budget permitting, I hope we keep Doyle. You need at least 3 senior strikers

    i would be happy for Doyle to stay actually. Yes, he was hugely disappointing last season, but in his defence, he had terrible support all season up front, alongside Donaldson or Vaughan would surely improve his effectiveness

    Slightly disagree as there is a huge striker called balls bounce of me Donaldson there now. That is someone to feed off which we have not had for ages. Its called a target man. I think Doyle would have got double is tally with him in place. Just my opinion but I think it would have happenend.
