I have no idea whether he's a good league 2 player or not. My point was a simple one. His time at Blackburn where he has played most of his football was an uninspiring one and i don't believe he's been brought in as a first teamer. It doesn't mean that he won't get his chance and that he's not cut out for his level.

 

And you were trying to form an opinion on from Blackburn fans from the PL and championship otherwise you wouldn't have posted it?

Iv'e never claimed that it was stated anywhere, neither have i stated that he 100% is an understudy. I simply THINK he will be one based on his career to date and length of contract.

His time at Blackburn suggests he's clearly not proven and hence I dont think he was brought in with the preconceived idea of starting games ahead of Mellor. IMO, he'll have to prove himself to earn that right, and it remains to be seen whether he can. Maybe he will. I've not said anywhere that he can't. You and Jonathan are just inferring that.

If and it’s a big if he gets back to anywhere near the standard he was in the early parts of his career then he will be a real asset. Being in division 2 means we won’t get the complete finished article and there will always be risk. That’s why we were able to sign him
