    Went on trial at Pompey soon after, again not signed up but with regards to Blackpool...

    Henley has already been on trial with Blackpool this term and Barry Taylor’s only concern is his possible wage demands.

    Taylor said: ‘If his wage demands are not too high then sign him till the end of the season with an option of another year.

    ‘He would be a good squad back-up player. I think Blackpool were going to sign him but his wage demands were too much for them.’

    this looks a good signing to me. must have something about him to be playing in the PL and Championship and getting senior Wales call ups. hopefully he can recover some form with regular games. Bowyer knows him well, that's for sure.

    Maybe. But more often than not recent signings have signed deals that will "see them at the club for at least the next 1 / 2 seasons" We don't have that in this case. If we only offered a year to have him prove himself wouldn't we have an option on him and therefore get the "at least" line at his announcement? Just surmising..

    Many Blackburn fans were unimpressed by another right back, Paul Caddis. I thought he was decent enough for us.

    He may have something about him but I get the impression that any player who is eligible for Wales and England will have Wales trying to call them up as soon as possible in the hope that they're tied down to Wales should they become world class. I'm just saying call ups for the Wales team may not be as impressive as they sound on paper, but it's obviously still an achievement for any player to receive a call up.

    Good to have some competition at full back for the first time since Darby and Meredith left, Rb’s In particular have been guaranteed starters for the last two years. In fact so was Chicksen :eek2:

    He left Blackburn in 2017 though so they are still a couple of years out of date.

    Let's see how he goes I suppose but any new signing is like a breath of fresh air at the moment.

    Caddis still had a very good playing career prior to joining us and I don't think anyone was at all surprised that he did well for us. All Henley has is failure after failure and an alarming lack of football to boot.

    As long as he's here as a reserve and not a replacement for Mellor then I'd be satisfied. Got to be better than Joe Riley.

    Fair enough. He did have a decent career. I had seen similar comments from Blackburn fans about Caddis when we signed him.

    Like Ismail who some thought could be the first 100 m player when he was coming through Henley’s career seems to have hit the buffers possible through injury Bowyer obviously thinks he is the man to motivate them
