Isn't that what Sparks is trying to do by changing the structure of the club?

    BFG would have risked it.

The thing is we went through this the last time we were here!!

2007-2010 - McCall and his idealistic footie, unsuited to L2

2010-2012 - Taylor and his pragmatic footie. Which like Bowyer was at times boring as hell. But they both have had success. However, we somehow thought we deserved better

Then suddenly the board got it. We need a pragmatic manager with a point to prove

2011-2017 - Parky and his pragmatic footie!! Need I say more!! `But even then the boards at the time, were full of 'Parky out' during that January 2012 winless run (why is it always January??!!! - until this year, that is)

Of course it's not that simple. But yes I'd have no problem with Adams or Evans, despite it been very hard to like either as people.

Novel idea.....perhaps we should try it?
Well...as long as you actually meant winning matches.

To be fair, City Gent, I don't think that makes sense.

You are either a small club with potential, or you're a big club.

I can't think of anything we'd need to put in place to be a 'big' League Two club that we haven't already got - can you? What's the area of potential that we're lacking? Season after season we have the biggest attendances, we have the biggest stadium and infrastructure, we consistently sign bigger names, we might not necessarily spend more than other clubs, but when rival clubs are Salford, Morecambe, Newport and FGR, we all know we're a much, much bigger club than them.

The real question is would we be a big club in League One, because in L2 there's no doubt about it.

Don't think it could happen, but what a partnership that might promise to be!

We are a faux-big club in Lg 2. As I continue to bang on about, and in truth Fordy does too, we can't become a bigger club until we own our own ground. Without that we have no leeway for development or any opportunities for proper future investment that will build the club.

Investment isn't linked to the ground.

Investment is linked to potential success.

Think we've been much better at wining and whining for a long while.

I read somewhere that Lawn said we had no money to bid for Vardy because McCall had wasted the money on Brandon, Lee, McClaren in a failed bid to get us promoted.

Surely any investor would need security on his money
    eg bricks and mortar/something tangible
We sadly own nothing as @Fordy117@Fordy117 keeps saying

Take me back a year on here and Fordy and I have both consistently been saying the same. This is the biggest issue for the future we have. Until we own VP and the training ground we're Bradford City Rental. What serious bona fide investor would want to buy a football club that has no assets?

    Strangely, Gibb owns nothing either.

    Think about this
A stadium no one would rent if City vacated
    Scrap steel
    Brick and concrete rubble
    Land pretty worthless

So Gibbs “asset” is only worth something as long as we rent it

    Absolutely right
Am Sure he realises it too maybe Mr Rupp should call his bluff (more chance of a sale owning the ground)
    Like a game of poker
On the face of it we seem to hold the aces but usually fold early

And that is precisely why it's so important that we get back to owning our ground. On the 'footprint' of the stadium and surrounding area there's a lot we could change and achieve, but whilst we rent, we can't. Paying ALOT of money for the privilege in the meanwhile.

BTW Gibb is playing a blinder! Continues to get hundreds of thousands of quids from us every season without having to do f*** all.
