I think that expectations will be high anyway, whoever the new manager is to be honest.

 

Depends what you class as denial. I agree, he hasn't explicity stated that he isn't going anywhere, but he did say that it is only speculation at this stage. For me, that tells me no approach has been made, otherwise it would be more than mere speculation. Add to this the Morecambe press saying the same re an approach and I'm inclined to believe it. That means one of two things: its either not Adams, or we've illegally approached him. Or the Morecambe chairman is lying to their supporters and its already a done deal. But why would he do that?

 

Yes as you say expectation on any new manager would be high but I'd think that fans would base their exceptions on what the new man did at his previous club, where as I would think with Parky many would base their expectations on what he did here and that would be IMO unrealistic.

 

Yes and No. They wanted me to manage somwhere else 200 mile away.I said not a chance after 30 years. I ceased to become part of the manager’s 4 year merry go round. So somewhat constructed, and they knew that!!! Hence they had to pay.

 

Have you seen him on the touchline with his own “ team” .? I have, I couldn’t stop laughing from the start to the end. The referee ....poor chap!

I'm in two minds on this. Park of me, the bit that would crawl naked over broken glass just to stick a matchstick in his turds, says I would love him back. The other bit, the bit that would really hate to see him fail and "do a Stuart" says a big no. If it happens I'll be delighted and pray it all goes well. If it doesn't I wont lose any sleep over what could have been.

I really don't see Parky as being the kind of man who would go back on something he's done well before. He's more likely to dust himself down and go again (elsewhere)

Because I don't believe in managers going back, especially one that had the success he had. Fans will naturally be expecting the same which brings an unfair expectation with it. Not overly keen on his football either although I accept it did get us out of the division. Time for a different choice to make a name for himself.

 

Also not sure he’d want to work with Turnbull or any of this new-fangled analytics stuff. He’s pretty much his own man and would want to things his way or not at all. He dismantled the ‘development squad’ pretty quickly last time (which to be fair was largely rubbish)

Yes but that was back in December where I'm not doubting permission was granted. Back to today, I don't believe another approach has been made to speak to him. Not yet anyway.
