    He is what he is. He's played at several clubs under different managers; he has gone down the coaching route as a career but despite his qualifications, his career to date (all 12 months of it coaching our U-18 squad) is barely worthy of a mention. And tellingly,he has no experience as a first team head coach. But at this stage, as you say, he does deserve our support.

    But that support shouldn't go unqualified. Rahic selected him with his own eyes wide open. I doubt he has pulled the wool over Rahic's eyes by exaggerating his credentials or by bullshitting him. It was Rahic's call and nobody else's. If it transpires that he either isn't up to the job or isn't supported to do the job to the best of his ability then the responsibility rests with Rahic and Rahic alone. This is Rahic's game and imo he will deserve the brickbats or the plaudits depending on the performance of his new head coach and time really will tell.

    Just one observation from this morning T&A articles - with GA being unwell Collins and Drury have apparently being helping Rahic over the past 6 weeks in targeting the players we want, style of play etc. Can you imagine the so called interviews with the other 10 prospective coaches, being told 'I know football' and his 2 youth team coaches have all these key aspects in hand - and we wonder why none of them were quite right for the job! I just dont believe a word Edin says anymore

    The only positive I can manage to see in all of this is that when this fails and comes crashing down on Edin's head, financially we'll be ok. If next season is worse than the last Rahic will (in my opinion) be fed up, bored and want out. He keeps going on about his long term plan but if it's clear we've gone backwards again, I think he'll give up.

    Even if it's a case of relegation and a 19/20 campaign in League Two, Rahic will most likely have jumped ship, but also left us in the black.

    Bloody hell Park. You're talking like the coaching qualifications are brain surgery.

    They cost about 4 grand to get and you could probably do it in about 8 weeks. If you're serious about having a job in the professional game there's actually no reason not to have them.

    It's a minimum requirement, not a sign if excellence.

    Probably the first time we've ever been on the same line Fordy!

    I'll disagree here though and say that the only joker in this situation is Rahic - everything that goes wrong now is entirely on him, not the coaching staff

    Park we’ve appointed the U18s coach as our new head coach. BPA wouldn’t appoint him. We’re a league 1 football team. The only self fulfilling thing here is that ER owns the club.

    Well here we are after our clinical research, several interviews, a very good short list of candidate, and over a period of 7 weeks we manage to appoint a three man coaching team of Michael Collins, Greg Abbott etc., Although I have been made aware of how bad things are at this club, not in my wildest dreams did I expect this.

    The lack of respect for fans is there for all to see. To openly lie to supporters in this way is just despicable. Of course the coach has had a say in what players we sign they have been there all the time. Edin has got his own way now, and on his own head be it. However, our club is in a mess, the only way it will improve in the short term if Collins and Greg can somehow put a competitive team together or should I say Edin put together a team.

    To sack Stuart for this!

    this is nothing short of an absolute disgrace. its taken 7 weeks for THIS?! 3 people already at the club?! and amazingly, they havent even picked the best contender out of the three of them nevermind anyone else!

    proof - if it were needed - that Edin is absolutely in control of all team affairs - he has, basically, just appointed himself in all but name.

    enough is enough. somethings got to be done. he is destroying the club.

    Right, I'm over the shock now. Could be a great appointment. I'll judge him on his results and nothing else, he fails and Edin fails/ vice versa. Life goes on, people will die of horrible diseases today so this doesn't matter does it.
