Ryan Sparks is an utter joke. What all this is to again put on his CV.

He is lost! He can’t get Rupp to spend on or off the pitch so has to come up with this nonsense to make himself look important.

We’re a midtable joke or a div 2 side and all he cares about is a bloody survey.

This club is a mess!

What a pointless exercise.

 

Problem is Sparks canvassing peoples views is just like the council doing a consultation. It ticks a box but very little regard will be taken of it.

 

The council do it for BS but Sparks does it for CV.

 

Just highlights the lack of direction at the club.

 

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with asking supporters for their views on a 'brand refresh'. But it's about timing.
From the gung ho pre-season marketing campaign we were all primed to expect a season of domination and glorious automatic promotion. What we've got so far is more of the mid table mediocrity, missed chances and injuries to key players that we've endured for the last few seasons.

All this talk of anniversaries, tribute kits etc comes across as hollow marketing fluff at the moment, designed to distract supporters from the real business of winning games and getting promoted.
Supporters do care about the club image, but not as much as the team's performance and league position.
I understand that Ryan Sparks is an 'ideas man' who wants to improve and modernise the club's image etc. But when the owner isn't interested enough to spend some money to improve the team then farting about with the club badge isn't actually helping the PR; it's breeding cynicism.

 

Some of the rebranding I've seen over the years in the name of 'progression' has been laughable. Look at the state of badges of clubs like Fulham and Juventus replacing traditional style crests with app like logos. Same with Wigan RLFC who replaced a classy coat of arms badge with what can only be described as a cartoon viking head inside a now predictable circle type logo. I did the survey but it was just full of the worst marketing and advertising waffle.
Leave the bloody badge alone, we've better things to worry about l.

 

Got as far as my name and number then it asks my sex what language do I speak, am I white, I didn't get to the " have you a car is it parked in a garage overnight"or "is my burglar alarm maintained by a reputable company annually", the club will have more information on me than the government (maybe not thinking about it) all for the change of a club crest.

 

Is this club in need of a proper rebrand, a proper reboot and completely new direction? Absolutely. The fact that we seem to think that rebranding is about a new badge, shows how misguided we are about our present status and prospects.

 

Sparks knows mate but he is powerless and just trying to do a look at me I did this on my CV.

This is so pointless what he’s trying to achieve. If only we had an owner and a CEO that cared about the club rather than themselves.

As I posted I only got to my sex/white Enlish etc if it took 15 minutes to complete the mind boggles to what information the club were after.
And once again as you know we go to games at Valley Parade not the "Utilities Staidum" of what ever its called.

 

That stuff is all optional, And will probably be used to see the demographics of the fans. Eg if 90% of supporters are men what can we do to bring more women in.
