    It would be nice to have some update underlining the Club's approach and ambitions re the new CEO. Just an idea on how far they are determined to go to attract the right person. This really is a corner stone appointment, don't want secrets, just a smidgen of real intent to wet the appetite and raise the bar of our expectations.

    @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler needs to understand that Bradford City needs vast improvement and isn't this perfect club.

    The man from down under is awake.

    I don't need to do anything but Bradford City and fans need to learn to move on! Stop being so lazy and looking back all the time. Not to be scared of change!

    Oh and have some aims. No matter what the club says training at a school and owning no assets is unacceptable.

    At least with James Mason there would be lots of communication, He is City through and through with experience of running an organisation based on good publicity

    Why is it unacceptable to own no assets by which I assume you mean bricks and mortar assets rather than playing assets?

    I'm not sure I understand that view. There are lots of businesses, especially on the high street which prefer to rent their premises rather than own them. Why is it so different for a lower league footbal club?

    Are we seriously having this conversation? You are a smart man.

    Let's not pocket things into lower league football. We are a football club part of the football league. Yes we are not in the PL but all all clubs in the football league we dream of it.

    You have assets in football to build and protect the club. Lets take Liverpool FC for prime example. It was brought for 300m 6 years or so ago it's now worth 2 billion due to the improvements off the pitch mainly.

    Assets increases commercial opportunities which generate more money.

    Yes, Bradford City can get away with with no assets but as other club improve then it's harder to attract quality then we will get left behind on and off the pitch. In fact we have gone from PL to Div 2 because in a matter of years because we just tick or can't you see that?

    STAND STILL AND YOU END UP GOING BACKWARDS!!

    You have failed to answer my earlier post and have made another one of your Fordy statements without adding any substance to it. It's just another wide-ranging rant without getting to the meat of the responses to your earlier post. I'm clearly not as smart as you! I have however worked in project and corporate finance specialising in the financing of major asset construction and aquisition at one of the Big 4 global professional services firms for the past two decades or so in the UK and Europe. This has been largely in asset-intense sectors. I do know a bit about the subject of 'assets'.

    Using your comment above, why don't you gIve me a specific example of where 'assets increase commercial opportunities' and which depends upon the ownership of the assets rather than say renting or leasing the assets. Keep it specific without once again talking in the generality. I'm all ears
