More 1pm Kick Offs

Simply because I hate the dead time on Saturday mornings and 3pm kickoffs for away games eat into my Saturday nights out.
Prefer to go to game early and get back early.
Just my personal preference but obviously I understand why 1pm kick offs don’t work for some.

 

That would work, but you've forgotten all the pubs will open early to maximise their income.

 

Will they ? North Parade will open at 10am and be rammed by 11am. Its pointless.

 

Why? Because I have a different opinion / preference?
3pm kick offs are traditional yes but maybe it’s time for change / modernisation

 

There's only Bradford could think that's a good thing, I get the idiots bit but far more will be descent football fans who just want a drink and a bit of food before the game.

Why is Sunday a less risk than Saturday for trouble?. Is the beer weaker on Sunday, troublecausers at church?

 

Just a quicky of topic comment, when we went to Hamden Park in 1967 for the England Scotland game, we stopped in a hotel in Largs on the Sunday morning before we set back off on our journey home Walter Kerr who ran the coach trips said if you want a beer get one in the hotel as the next chance of a alcoholic drink was in Carlisle, I believe in those days it was only bars that could open on a Sunday in Scotland.

 

Why is the Harrogate game always being moved. Didn't they come up with some bullshit excuse regarding the fire service on bonfire night last season to move that to 1pm.

There is no rivalry and getting tickets for the away game means you have to have attended every game since the second World War.

If anything there is more potential for disorder in August when we go to Morecambe with 2k City fans at the seaside on the piss.

 

Holidayed up there many a time in the 70’s. Could never find an open pub on a Sunday Dave.

 

I presume those who have work/school on the Monday are less likely to be plastered on the Sunday instead of a Saturday.

Don't mind the odd early kick off here and there but then I'm not a drinker at the football. Hardly a first world problem an early kick off.

 

From a selfish point of view, I wouldn’t mind if they moved the Mansfield away game to a 1pm KO. I’ve got a 50th party to attend over Hull way lol

 

I'd like them to move the Colchester match. To Tuesday.
