More 1pm Kick Offs

Fortunate if these are the only games that get moved by the police after the actions of the mindless minority last season. The Harrogate match is an international week so a chance that could be moved again if Sky want to show the match.

I am contracted to work an average of 1 in 3 Saturday mornings until 1pm, so hoping non clash from a personal point of view. Fortunately the Grimsby home game doesn't, so hoping no more are announced

 

The legend that is the City yoof to blame for this.
Mind you, there are some strange people in Grimby.

More to do with our fans than theirs, also with it being international week there's a chance Leeds fans who live close by will go and cause trouble

 

So Leeds fans and our chavs don't get out of bed until 2pm then, is that why it's moved back to 1pm.

Can't get my head around why they think there will be less trouble kicking off at 1pm as opposed to traditional 3pm.

It gives people less time to drink and it means they spend less time in and around the town centre

 

Nothing to stop them drinking earlier and spending more time in town after a 1pm kick off

 

If it doesn't work why is it a commonly used tactic by police? Most pubs apart from Wetherspoons open from 11am at the earliest so that's only 2 hours before kick off rather than 4 hours. More people will drink at 12pm for a 3pm game than 10am for a 1pm kick off

 

Less time in the pub before hand. Simple.

Get ready for all sorts of kick off times when Sky get their hands on L2 for the 24/25 season.

West Yorkshire police have not moved Leeds opening game of the season at home to Cardiff to 1pm, that fixture has far more potential for trouble than us against Grimsby.

Police forces up and down the country have no problem policing 3pm kick offs at fixtures with much larger crowds than ours.

Same applies! 5 L1 and L2 games every weekend spread over Saturday lunch, Sunday lunch and Monday night.

 

Leeds vs Cardiff will have an army of police to deal with it. Us vs Arrugut and Grimhole wont.

 

The issue is WY police are so undermanned and under funded.They won’t admit it but that’s the real reason.

 

Leeds vs Cardiff is 2:30 on a Sunday due to Sky. Sunday is a lesser risk day than Saturday It's not necessarily about the size of the crowd. We are probably the only club with at least 4 FA investigations hanging over us for crowd incidents plus incidents in the Carlisle match.
