I'd hope by then we are seeing better results so we wont need to be looking elsewhere, if they don't improve then obviously the situation would have to be reviewed, as well all know things can change quickly in football I'd accept that situation he wont be the first manager not to see his contract out.

 

Which is a great starting point. Proofs going to be in the pudding over the next few weeks to see if he is as good as his word. Let's hope this change in approach leads to better results on the pitch.

 

And hes saying he's going to address the situation, doing less swapping and changing that's not panicking its what we were all asking for.

7 games in going back to basics is hardly panicking.

 

The two go hand in hand. You get consistent performances when players understand how they are being asked to play and they have confidence that it won't change from one game to the next.

 

Wansmt me that said he was panicking mate. If this leads to players actually understanding their roles better then it's a starting point. If you get beat by the better side so be it but at least give your players a fighting chance to compete.

Ok, so you expect the first job of the new CEO is to sack a legend of the club? THINK! Not going to happen.

A decision on McCall's future will be based on results and where we are in the league. If by end of the November we are struggling then I expect McCall to go.

Waiting for a CEO is pointless and foolish in a results based industry.

If he stops the tinkering thats for the best because it
seems to confuse our players and they don't know how
to change systems.

However,if he keeps the same system week after week it's
to be hoped the players can adapt to that quickly because
other teams will know exactly how we set up and can try
combat that so we have to get very good at how we play
so teams can't frustrate us.

 

On Match of the Day at the weekend it was pointed out by the commentator that Jurgen Klop had played the same system for (I think he said) 58 games. Obviously it is the Premier League but it highlights the point that if everyone knows their function in the team then they will play better as a unit.
No point in countering it with the point that we change the system to nullify the opposition, the sign of a good manager is to be able to stick to a system and still be able to outthink the opposition.
One thing I have noticed with this team is the amount of touches they need to control and play the correct pass. This is clearly an area they need to improve on as it will get the ball into better positions quicker and get around defenders, catching them out.

 

Any CEO should come with a game plan. Any manager is at risk of losing their job regardless of who they are.
A foolish move would to bring a new manager in who doesnt fit with what the ceo wants. Then you are in a worse situation.

 

No, you get Rhodes to get rid of McCall then the new CEO comes in to try get who he wants.

This is the correct way. The new CEO isn't going to come in and sack McCall.

Look, if Rhodes is in talks with a replacement now then he will have names in made for a replacements it McCall doesn't get results. Rhodes then does the sacking and appoints the new person who his replacement wants then the new CEO walks through the door.

If over the next month or two McCall gets results then nothing to worry about Rhodes leaves and the new CEO comes in.

I feel the above is the plan.
