I believe so. And I’d hope that his roles and Burnley and the EFL have given him access to contacts that might be invaluable, should he turn up here.

We were very poor on Saturday have been 3 games so far. But we also shown how well we can play. No need to panic yet. As one of City’s associates says after I asked him what he thinks said, All teams have good and bad times Nick. Yes we are not going through good results at the moment. But we all need to get behind the club and support them through the hard times as well as the good times He is right as much as it was dreadful yesterday again. It’s only 7 games in and no need to panic yet. Those calling for the sacking of McCall is absolutely uncalled for and most certainly not the way forward. Days like yesterday are extremely upsetting and frustrating. I fully understand fan’s frustrations but than again some do go too far. This is agreed by fans I spoke to since some in person. Nothing will stop me loving this club and having belief. We have a good team in real so when we underperform to those standards it’s absolutely shocking and heartbreaking.

However we been here before and ended up in the playoffs or better. So I’m not giving up yet no way. The lads know they can’t play like that often or again if possible. We have shown a reaction before and I’m sure we will again and find form soon or by mid season again have spoke to some and advised try not listen to some. I’m still proud to be a BANTAM & I always will be. We will work on it in training. It’s best to have a bad spell early on and get it out of our system. That start all guns blazing then fade out.

We a good team in real. Compared to last few seasons. So it’s upsetting when we play like that. But way too early to be calling for McCalls head. I’m ashamed Of those who are or overreacting.

This is my honest opinion too .CTID

I admire the way your passion and loyalty always shines through Nick. However, I have to pick you up on one of your points that we are a good team. We really are not Nick. The squad looks woefully inadequate and the summer has been poor in terms of addressing our options up front, in fact we have weakened that area even more by allowing Vaughan to leave and replacing him with a young kid from Wolves who so far looks out of his depth.

We have not addressed the chronic lack of wide attacking options, nor have we brought in the midfield enforcer that most fans identified as a must, leaving us too weak in that area.

We will see whether McCall can improve matters in the coming weeks, but put me down as one of the pessimists on that score.

Back to passion and loyalty, we are all passionate and loyal to this football club, but some of us have different opinions on our prospects with the current set up

Of a squad of 26, we have
    Two ‘keepers
10 defenders, seven of them are centre backs and three of those are kids
9 midfielders, two of them are kids, only three are attacking players and one of them is permanently injured
5 strikers including Clarke. Who between them scored 21 between them last season and one is a kid

Of a squad of 26 there are six kids and you’d only keep half a dozen if you had a clean slate, some of those as squad players. At least three I’d argue have a questionable attitude. There’s no way anyone can describe that squad as balanced, quality or a good team. It’s an embarrassment to whoever put it together.

Thats a brutal assessment Mike, but hard to argue with most of what you have said. One thing Stuart has not done this summer is sort out any sort of balance in the squad and doing so in January is always difficult (although this season might be a little different with the number of players not with clubs, and the multitude who will be in this position next summer)

Heard of an argument after the game Saturday. Their captain complained to the ref about being booked after a few fouls while Guthrie committed enough fouls to be sent off. The ref agreed but added "I just thought that you guys would have preferred him to stay on".

The penny seems to have dropped for MCCall then. In today's T&A he says he must stop tinkering and changing formations going forward. I knew he read this forum!

I keep on saying that if you want to be the best you have to learn from the best.

I listened to Alision (Liverpool's keeper if some don't know) on Liverpool's game today and he yesterday when ask do you know much about the team you are playing? He said like normal the the day before a match, just after this interview we will have a team meeting, understand the team we are playing , know the jobs we have to do but work on what we can improve. We work on ourselves and how teams can worry about us.

McCall currently is worrying far too much about who we play and he won't last the season if he continues to do that.

Agreed. McCall continues to overcomplicate his approach to every game, which is unnecessary at this level, when the standard is so poor. The players we have aren't really good enough to adapt. The recruitment has been horrific this summer, the squad is lacking leaders and quality, ultimately McCall will fall on his sword because of this.

I feel his best chance of turning this around would be to simplify the situation, stick to simple formations , for id go 442, with the best 11 we have available as opposed to tinkering constantly, and let these players become comfortable in their roles. Simple instructions and let the players find a rhythm.

Without rhythm, we're a different prospect from game to game, unpredictable, yet all too often, we dont come out on top.
