Mark Trueman

It’s ok, sorted. I had forgotten how to do it

 

Reading the T & A I sense, might be mistaken, that Sparks is hoping Trueman comes good so we can leave him in situ. There’s no mention of taking our time, or gathering CV’s etc. I hope I’m wrong because Mark ran out of ideas and when having a free hit at promotion he bottled it. I’m not sure what he has learnt from Adams because their styles were pretty similar. By all means the club should take their time, but it’s a massive risk both on and off the pitch if Trueman gets the role. I wonder if Kiwomya will be his number 2?

We don’t have time nor I patience for nostalgia any more.

 

It is hard call. It provides some continuity, but I want the club to take their time, we really need to get this right! Let’s give 3/4 games to see if he can galvanise the players.

I don’t mind caretaker until the new boss comes in then a club lesser role but not assistant to….. the new manager.

 

The last few managers have worked alone and it’s failed. I’d prefer a manager/assistant manager team to come in but doubt the budget will stretch that far.

 

Sorry I should have perhaps worded it better. I do NOT want a new manager in and have Sparks dump Truman on his lap.

I want him to bring his own assistant in.

 

Again it boils down to how serious we are about wanting success. What is the point in hiring a quality manager if we aren't prepared to give them the tools they need to do their job?

It shifts season tickets. And when the manager fails, the compo cost is much cheaper than what it would take to set the manager up for success.

Who as even suggested Trueman might get the job on a permanent basis.

 

I want a new manager who makes his own decision on his staff and is not influenced by Ryan Sparks, Steffen Rupp or YOU for that matter.

 

Not a fan of the idea of putting Trueman in charge, but tbh that's mainly due to the fact if I remember correctly he was also a 1 up top type of manager which at this level I don't think is the right way to go for us, but if the right guy for us isn't currently available then I'm not sure what else we can do, I'm hoping he's taken some good advice on board (obviously not from DA) since his last stint and attempts to just go for it in his games in charge, and when you think about it why wouldn't you he has nothing to lose unlike last time when our league status was at risk so they had try steady the ship into safety. Well here's hoping anyhow. As for our next permanent manager I'd approach McCann for it, probably bit out of our league but if you don't ask you don't get. Yes it's probably common knowledge in football circles of how difficult it is to succeed at our circus, but on the flip side any manager that could perform that miracle would gain great stock on the management scene, and that maybe just be our lure especially for managers currently out of work.
