I think it's fair to say, that Rahic has got more skills than Dynamo when it comes to pulling a fast one. I fully expect Lawn was taken in by Edin, the same way Rupp and all of us were. It was only after they'd started running the club (or one of them anyway), that we started to think they should be wearing Stetson hats.

Not sure Mark was taken in by Rahic he was the reluctant partner to sell, in fact as with Julian he offered his services to the new owners but obviously Rahic was very reluctant to have any form of involvement from either as they would have sussed his game out early doors.

Not sure Parkin was the right man, he wanted to amalgamate both City & Bulls if I remember correctly would that have been a good thing.
Even though he's a die in the wool Leeds United fan I'd have thought he would have had more about him with regards running a football club that either Rahic & Ruin.

I don't disagree with the give it back sentiment but in the financial world life isn't like that, the Pension Fund took quite a big financial risk at the time which we should be grateful for.

Possibly financially as well due to the costs attached to building a new stadium. Would be a lot more expensive than buying back VP, and if borrowing the money probably more expensive than the current rent

Excluding site acquisition costs, fees and other add on you are looking at approx £30 mil for a 30k capacity stadium. Fair enough we don't need that size now but Championship we could get close. In my view we don't need any bigger as there is competition which slices up potential support, i.e. Leeds, Huddersfield.
Unless there was big money from elsewhere then it's a no go, even Leeds have gone quiet on a new stadium and others have quietly abandoned plans even for small grounds, for example Scunny at 10k.

If Rupp was to fund it in that way, as owners have done with other clubs, it would almost certainly be a new company set up and owned by Rupp which owns the ground and rents it to us, so we'd be in no different a position except we'd have left our rightful home for a mecanno stadium and potentially have a white elephant round our necks or be in thrall to an ex-owner who wants to milk every last drop from us to make up for funds lost after an acrimonious split

I'm not saying its easy. But other, 'smaller' clubs find ways. Why can't we? We seem handcuffed to a mentality of 'no can do'. We just f*****g moan. Victims. Hard to sign players in January. Or the Summer. Hard division to get out of . Rents too expensive. Be grateful to have a club. Etc

    Bulls?

The site is still an issue.

someone suggested Drummond Mills. That site is just over 7 acres. The pitch alone is 1.5, so add in the bit around the edge and you are talking 2 acres just for the playing area.

    Nothing is impossible.
If, and this is always the deal breaker, you have the money.
So far no one has come up with a workable cohesive plan that involves a £50 million stadium as part of a development. Last guy in Bradford to do it was BFG. And guess what? Yeah we never had the money for it.
Cos you see, if I'm investing £50 million in a development I'm sure as hell wanting a return on that money. I want evidence that I can pass on to my investors that I will be getting them the best possible return on that money.
The local authority are useless and have no money. So don't go there. And no one invests in Bradford in a business sense when you have Leeds 10 miles down the road.

They ain't excuses mate, they're cold hard facts.

The difference is that we can service VP and the school out of yearly income.
We can't build a new stadium out of our yearly income. It requires huge lump sums at the ready. Where is it? Where is it coming from?

Just speaking to a Walsall mate and they pay £650k a year for their ground which is more than us, so we are not the only ones. Don’t think there’s many at our level that have their own training ground.

In talks with who? Bill Gates, the Saudi government, Jeff Bezos? Infact its that easy why don't we go for a 50,000 seater stadium cos clearly 25,000 isnt ambitious enough?

Walsall pay £650k rent. What makes you think their "upkeep" is free.
