    Hope your wrong too, but tend to agree. I would be more optimistic if Walker, Vaughan and one or two others were available. Whatever - certainly will be a better atmosphere than of late, hope a bigger expectant crowd does n't further faze our players.

    It won't be a disappointment as long as people don't expect miracles. Hughes and Hodges have inherited a mediocre squad and have only taken one training session so far. It should be a good day weather wise and atmosphere wise and I'm just looking forward to that. Anything other than a loss will be a bonus.

    Now up to Cooke to really knuckle down and make that place his Lancs - with his skill levels Hughes will like him but he has to put the effort in and aim to be first name on the team sheet

    The only logical explanation is that it is part of his loan agreement that he starts if fit. I can't see any other reason for it.
