A Person who knows the game, but keeps his trap shut.

No doubt Edin will be recruiting from on here, then. Some know summat and say nowt, whilst others know nowt and have lots to say.

 

Paul Scholes , i've put a whole £10 on him -----this should put him high up the odds league table .

You’re correct. Hasselbaink left in December and the following May saw Burton promoted as runners-up. However, it could be argued that Clough finished off the work started by Hasselbaink, who himself only finished off the work of Gary Rowett.

 

He ruled himself out.

 

Steve McLaren would get a thumbs up from me - managed at the highest level and tonnes of contacts/experience. Had a hit and miss career but has enough for me.

Graeme Alexander another I wouldn't say no too. Came close with Scunny - couldn't get them over the line but they were always there or there abouts.

 

Paul scholes would be amazing. Might be a shit manager but who cares. We might see him unleash that volley.
I’m all serious though we need someone who knows how to get the best out of a midfield.
Sick of playing side to side with no really attacking threat.

 

McLaren would be a good choice for head coach, however cannot see him wanting league 1 football.

From what I've heard the old birds in The Ambassador find him charming as well.

 

Why would appointing a former top player with no coaching experience be a good move ? Didn't exactly work for Bobby Moore or Bobby Charlton did it ?

 

Not a rumour. However, of the managers appearing on betting lists, I think Grant McCann would be a good fit here. I know many Posh fans were very disappointed when he was sacked, and they thought he had been doing a decent job with a young squad and should have been given much longer. Probably fits the owners criteria of a young coach who could come in on a long term project getting the best out of youngsters?

 

Could do a lot worse than McCann - although he strikes me as a straight talker that won't take much nonsense. he could be resigning by Christmas after a few month working with Lord Football, Edin
