Plenty queing up to shake his hand and talking to him after the service had finished, wonder what he as saying to questions about our new manager come head coach.

As you were. Even with Rosler ruling himself out.

 

It's always felt like a lazy 1+1=3 rumour.

The only German manager most City fans know outside the Premier League (or one of the very few), and he's spoken to our owners before, so therefore...

... and yet last time (or the time before?) Rosler basically laughed off the idea. He said something like "it's not that simple", which always felt to me there's an implication that he's not keen on the idea. He isn't so close to the owners he even knew they were buying Bradford City, so I imagine the owners approached Rosler as a countryman for some advice, without actually really knowing him on a personal level.

A bit of that is assumption, but what isn't is that Rosler has persistently distanced himself from Bradford City, but the rumours endured based on, as far as I can tell, absolutely no new data.

I've been very, very confident Rosler wouldn't, and won't, come to Bradford.

 

McCann odds are getting shorter. He looks a perfect fit. He's young and new to management but had a decent season and 3/4 at Peterborough where he uncovered a few non-league jewels that look like making money for the club. Peterborough's form worsened after he was rather brashly sacked late in February - losing 5 of their last 6 to miss out on the play-offs by 7 points. Policy there is to sign youngsters and transfer list anyone whose contract falls to 12 months to get money for them. I expect McCann's experience of policy there would fit very well with the current board's plans if they could tempt him.

I like MM. Been around the block, knows the score and most importantly isn’t afraid of voicing his opinion, especially to supporters who think they can run a football team.
