Take that list and bin it if last season's recruitment is anything to go by.

 

I don't think we hit our main targets. I saw us strongly linked with much higher quality of calibre of player than the ones we signed. Looks like we worked our way down the list!

What I'd like to see is Edin have a bit of humility in regards player recruitment. He can have all the ideas and plans that he wants but recruit the right people to put that in place. Employ a director of football who implements your vision.

You shouldn't really have a list that includes dross and should instead, revisit the ones on the list you're missing out on and increase wage, term of contract or bonus in our case. We should never be in a position where we grab anybody to make the numbers up. This will of course, involve increasing the player budget but in order to get where we (the fans) want to be, they should be looking for quality over quantity.

 

Look what happened when parky released Josh Morris everybody said he would have suited McCall style of play . Surely a new coach would like to sift through some of the shite that's left and try to hand pick replacements

I was about to post similar. And let's face it - Neither Greg nor Stuart could ever convince Edin to go for 'category A', then 'B' was overlooked, so we ended up with 'C'. Also - Regarding January - we reacted at the time when most shoppers had completed their New Year shopping ......... an' hit the trail (realistically) during the last few days, like the freaks who stalk the chiller isles in super markets at 7.40 PM looking for 'final reduction' items !

 

I am not exactly sure the players from January are considered 'dross'????

Warnock - capable full back
McGowan - unfair to judge but looked decent in 2/3 games
Lund - had injuries, but chipped in with a couple of goals and got better
Guy - I wasn;t a fan but recognise one of our better players towards season end
Bruenker - limited but a hard worker

I wouldn't say any were bad signings. The only bad signing was Grayson who didn't get enough out of them.

I think we should aim for midtable in the League, and focus all our resources on the trophy of trophies.
