The only way there won't be an announcement will be if WW III has started. It's a shame what is happening, especially as I think Edin's model is theoretically how football should be, but English pro football isn't a sport, it's a business for 99% of those involved and he is getting it all so badly wrong.

We all know there's only one reason Mason is leaving and it's nothing to do with a new challenge or better pay.

 

They do but not in this case, although being in the career path he is, he can never say that publically.

 

Why does it matter if he's gone? The club's position was always that his position would be reviewed when a new head coach was appointed. Unless he was due to be our next head coach then from what has been shared by the club he was always likely to be replaced.

There seems a fascination with lumbering any piece of information that has a negative slant together as evidence that the club is being badly run. It's being run differently. Different people make different decisions. Some of them will always be worse than others because that's human nature.

Not aimed at you here T but it seems like some posters are just searching for tut-bits that show the club is falling apart. If Sam has left this is not further evidence. Martin has stepped up. He is well enough qualified. Sam was always likely to leave. It's been public knowledge for a few weeks.

 

Do we? I don't! Not heard any reason as to why he's leaving. And yes, people do leave even though they're in what was said to be their dream job. They get bored. They get offered silly money. Lots of reasons. The comparison to David B is an interesting one.

So, what has happened in this case?

If James does go and that at the moment is not the case no matter what the usual suspects are saying, it will be his choice, lets say he's at City until his job becomes untenable that's how I understand the situation, it certainly wont be anyones decision apart from James's.

 

Sorry mate. He will leave when his job is untenable which with every passing day it seems from the outside it is then it's not his choice is it.

 

But as James is on the inside, might I suggest that he will know more about his own stance and position than anyone on this Forum. So far it's yet more speculation, and Forums rarely get it right do they ?

 

Well will have to wait and see if it happens. If it does, we will see what he says, but I am in no doubt.

This thread has become so long and keeps drifting into areas that are not directly related that it makes it uninviting.

 

True but the it's my guess he has told someone or people about career situation or these rumours wouldn't be starting.

So the insider is telling the outsider things. You work don't you? You know what it's like.

My guess is he won't be here for much longer.

 

Of course, and don't misunderstand me...... There are situations which make your job untenable - I've been there, yet it took me about 15 months before I quit, as I needed my choice to be the correct one, and also I left on my terms. Who knows...... this may have been eating at James for over a year, but until we have anything concrete, it remains just guess work, on our part, yeah ?

 

It's not James Mason leaving which is the problem, it's more the reasons he's leaving. I.e more behind the scene issues which have clearly affected the club over the past year or so.

 

Don't worry sweetheart, he'll be gone.
