Rightly so after the embarrassing fact that BPA were able to play the same day, even if FL hadn't applied pressure it would be hoped professional pride would have kicked in, but we'll never know. That said at least it's finally getting done, this certainly isn't a new issue, it was embarrassing during the FA cup season with managers both in the league and cup moaning every other week, and I couldn't blame them.

 

Which they knew about when they bought the club. Its like someone buying my house but they know the back garden needs relaying.

 

Said this already today, lets not be silly now. If we got promotion Rahic would be the best thing since sliced bread. When he gets the club back on track he will rightly be lauded for it.

 

Try this:

*Replacing our best players last summer with cheaper and inferior players.
*Building a squad which was short on numbers
*Spending large amounts of money on players who have failed to justify their price tag.
*Shocking PR giving mixed messages to fans.
*The Matter of Heart DVD showing that he micromanages club employees to the extreme
*Having a squad which was the worst performing team in the entire division over the last 20 games of the season. A squad which our chairman has helped build.
*A January transfer window where we failed to land our major targets and took an age to get players in.
*Having very little footballing credentials to justify him getting heavily involved in footballing matters.
*Accepting very little responsibility at the fans forum and instead putting the bulk of the blame on the fans. Poor move.
*Failing to back up big statements.
*A season of regression after reaching Wembley.
* A club legend coming out and pretty much telling everyone what an absolute nightmare Rahic was to work with.
*Season tickets taking a drop
*No signs that lessons have been learnt
*Taking a very very long time to bring in a headcoach which immediately puts as at a disadvantage.

It's difficult to argue that a lot of the criticism isn't self inflicted. The above isn't even taking into comsideration the various rumours circulating around, some of which I have no doubt is true.

It’s hard to say really. He’s the one who said he made mistakes. Something has upset the apple cart last year I dunno really it wouldn’t be based on anything factual if I commented merely stuff you hear in the press

 

Clearly there's no intention of running the club into the ground deliberately, but I think the point is, some fans feel he is doing this despite his best efforts.

Whilst I agree their tenure isn’t without mistakes (there are many) the situation isn’t as bad as people are making out. We were bound to have a season of regression at some point. It’s not realistic to expect us to continue season on season progression forever. The season of regression is all linked to the majority of points you make above, to assembling an inferior squad, having a poor January and poor results in the last 20 games. What you fail to mention are the positive results in the previous 26 and season before where we were in the top 4 performers in the division. You have to view the season as a whole, and we finished 11th. We weren’t fighting relegation and finished comfortably in mid table. Not what everyone wanted admittedly but no reason to be hysterical either calling for he chairman’s head like the witch hunt that’s going on at the moment. They should be allowed to appoint the manager they want to carry out their business model. They are both hugely successful business men and I’m sure their model and investment isn’t without extensive research and planning. T may just take a backward step to move forward. Unfortunately fans want instant success.

I appreciate we have different views on this and of course you are entitled to your opinion. I just don’t think we will agree.

I don't think anyone is saying that the owners have embarked on a deliberate campaign to dismantle the club, that would indeed be madness. No, what bothers some of us is the apparent management style of Edin in particular and the risk that his approach might inadvertently be damaging Bradford City.

 

I thought he asked for more than that? Didn’t He want new training facilities or a perimieter building at apperley bridge to make them private. Not gonna happen.

 

Yes, I agree, it was more than just the budget.

 

Let's be honest, if we're not going down the experienced manager route - i.e not Warburton, Heckingbottom etc - and if the younger coach types - i.e. Unsworth, Stockdale etc - aren't going to get the job then it only leaves an overseas option really.
