Worked wonders in Scotland and is used to management more compared to some of the other names. Won’t be bothered by the budget and still wants to make a name in the game for himself.

Yes I agree with you.. I was referring to past experience of managing/coaching a group of first team players is not necessarily required.

First choice would've been Warburton but not sure what's going on there.

Would've also liked tisdale so a shame he's gone to MK.

So yes I agree, Hopkin or McCann look to be the next best option

 

Do we just summise nobody wants the bloody job, on HIS terms that is.

 

If you have a record of developing players within the youth set up then this is your experience. Ok it may be at a lower level but they are working and developing the players as well as managing them. It's just like taking a step up at work when a job becomes available.

If someone like Stockdale was appointed he has the experience of working in the youth set up as well as alongside very experienced managers in Moyse, Allerdyce, Coleman and Grayson.

 

That sums up the situation perfectly...
If any of those already named gets the job then we can assume that their other options must have gone tits up and that they have come back to us in desperation...

If you go back for your second choice job because you did not get your first choice job, that is not desperation it is merely sensible and realistic. It has nothing to do with desperation whatsoever.

Maybe just maybe Stephen Warnock his doing his coaching badges & we’re waiting to fast track him as coach? Stranger things have happened. He certainly seemed to have respect of players & manager while he was playing. Whoever it is, everyone’s been wide of the mark so far
