    The odds come from where people have put the most money on. Obviously is not a definite but like with Graysons appointment in the last few days before the announcement he went to overwhelming favourite and the they announced him as our new manager. News usually gets out somehow.

    They do, but that doesn't explain why he would come down with a number of bookies unless someone was betting on him at more than one at the same time or unless one bookie has had a large bet and spread it ?

    Bookies put a max bet on next manager bets which could mean that if somebody out there is confident it's going to be him. They'll then need to spread there bets across different bookies to win as much money as they can if they are right. Although it doesn't take much for odds to shift in this kind of bet so a few guys all betting on Warburton would make the odds go down which causes people to think somebody knows something so people lump a tenner on it. I'm not saying I think it will be Warburton but the day or two before the new manager is announced usually they are the bookies favourite because news gets out

    They don’t know anything, the bookies shorten odds when the comes in. Money that punters are spending on the back of internet rumours and hearsay. I wouldn’t be surprised if the bookies start the rumours themselves.
