I think the number of loan players we have will have dropped by the time the window closes, either through one or more returning to their parent club or through us making them our player/s.

He has played 38 games in his whole career , all for Peterborough, and that was 2016- 2017 season , no games for Portsmouth .24 years old .

If McGhee is really on approx £5,000 i wonder how much City are stumping up for his loan?

Impressive investment if it is anywhere over 50%.
Richard O'Donnell is out of contract in June so it might be an audition for a new contract for McGhee but then again, has O'Donnell lost his first team place through injury, guess time will tell.

It's irrelevant what the rules are. It's just plain wrong to agree with a club to let them have a player for the rest of the season and a short time later say we've changed our minds. One of Bowyers strengths is the relationships he builds with other clubs. He's not achieved that by quoting loan arrangement rules at them. Hornby's doing alright and getting game time at Fylde. Bowyers used his contacts in the game to bring in adequate cover for OD. What's the problem?

Not sure with them being non league or whatever, but normally there'd be no possibility of a recall on a temporary loan.

Equating the Hornby situation to the Doyle one is beyond ridiculous.

I wonder what the 'expectations' were ? ............. Promotion ? An adoring but demanding fan base ? FAILURE ??
    Yes - A strange comment.
Not a very good Salesman, our Gary ......... On or off the pitch, it seems.
(The results are 'trickling' in - but performances are mediocre, at best. Press releases show me a person lacking enterprise and confidence (in the squad - let the shackles off, Man !!) rather than faith and ambition.)

Both were here before him so hardly his signings, mystified as to why they got extensions but we weren't exactly blessed with good central midfielders right off the bat. Don't think anyone argued at the time when Palmer came in as he seemed to be well thought of. Henleys been a bit meh but I'd argue Bowyer's tactics are stifling our full backs a bit given every time ive seen us play they seem to be on orders not to cross the halfway line. Ismail's done alright when called upon, more would be better but hardly a failure.

So yeah, I'd say about 2 or 3 are absolutely poor signings. Whether or not some good footballers have played to their potential is a different matter but to me his hit rate is about the same as parky and mccalls.

that's what you did when you implied there was some bigger list of poor signings that he'd made with your original comment so why is it fine for you to do that and not me?

How am I bending the truth. Which players, of the ones I listed weren't offered deals under Bowyers management?

    None, that's how many.

That's not the point I was getting at it was regarding you implying Bowyer's made a lot of poor signings but there we go, I can't really be arsed with this anymore as we're both just gonna end up looking daft if we don't already. I agree with you about McGee though he looked as solid a replacement as you could hope for really, although I don't think he should really cop for that.I think the pelters in that situation should be for the multitude of outfield players who literally let the Scunny player just run past them. That was proper sunday league defending if ive ever seen it and that's what's worrying me about Bowyer as to me that's one of the main things I think he has got right up to now.

Had Ismail had more game time I think you could add him to the list.
Cooke hasn’t been bad and pre injury was probably one of our most effective players.

I take your point on Ismael but the worrying thing was Wetherby Whalers post on here that suggested the board were told he only plays 1 in 4 (with an "if you're lucky" on the end of it). Perhaps it related to performances rather than injuries but it's certainly not good if we're relying on Zeli to be fit and firing.

Cooke started brightly but most of the time he's as deep as Reeves and completely ineffective. Unless we can see him higher up the pitch then I don't see how that will change.

No chance. Ismail has been one of the poorest in the few times he's been on the pitch.

Didn't someone post we'll be lucky to get 4 games from him without an injury, I like the lad, sometimes over does it but he certainly offers us something out wide.
