Richard O'Donnell is out of contract in June so it might be an audition for a new contract for McGhee but then again, has O'Donnell lost his first team place through injury, guess time will tell.

As a side point we could have had the first choice pompey keeper for next to nothing a few years back.

We had him on trial from harrogate and he played in a friendly but ended up at walsall

It's irrelevant what the rules are. It's just plain wrong to agree with a club to let them have a player for the rest of the season and a short time later say we've changed our minds. One of Bowyers strengths is the relationships he builds with other clubs. He's not achieved that by quoting loan arrangement rules at them. Hornby's doing alright and getting game time at Fylde. Bowyers used his contacts in the game to bring in adequate cover for OD. What's the problem?

Anderson and Devine were poor signings, Palmer has been ineffective, the jury is out on Henley. Ismael was signed when @wetherbywhaler said the club was aware he'd only play about 1 in every 4 games.

That's another 5 that haven't made enough of a contribution.

Every club knows the risk with loan signings and if the parent club requires their services then they lose them, that's how the loan system works.
