Loyalty Points & Priority for Away Matches

Fast forward to 2062... and the Stone Island wearing idots who currently traipse around the country giving our club a bad name will be the ones complaining about how they've held a season ticket for 40 years so should get priority tickets for the FA Cup match against Silsden FC ahead of all the kids who went to a load of away games in 2061.

Man City have been using a points ticketing system for a while and it looks like they carry forward from last season - unless they wipe it when the new tickets for next season are released.

Yes, but they’ll inform you in advance. And if you keep going to the matches then you’re not going to drop a band.
There might be more or less available to each band per match (depending on allocation), but that’s no different to the struggle for getting to Barrow or Harrogate anyway.
Ultimately it’s an incentive to go to more away games - and I’ll inevitably bite

 

The only issue with this scheme is with Barrow, Harrogate, Hartlepool, Sutton all early doors in the season. Those who want to go to these games will be at the top end of the loyalty list and they will gain loyalty points for going to these games pushing them further ahead of others who would have gone but can't.

The bus has already set off and if you have missed it there is no catching up.

 

That is something that has dawned on me in the last few days. I just feel a bit left out. The fact that you couldn’t/chose not to attend matches last season will have a significant effect on your ability to attend matches this season. I had no idea that attendance at home games affected your points.

 

I don't really mind those who go to the most games being front of the queue when getting tickets, my only reservation is that those front of the queue will buy tickets anyway to maintain their loyalty points then sell them on if they can't make the game to those who are further down the pecking order.

 

Barrow the first away game, Hartlepool on an August Saturday will both sell out easily and quickly.

Barrow took a while last time because it was in the middle of winter at a time Covid was threatening to close things down again like it did in Wales and Scotland and it was on the back of dire performances as the Adams shitshow was starting to be laid bare.

 

First world problems, that will be gone when we are in L1 and Harrogate back in non league where a tin pot club with a 500 away capacity should be.

The EFL should pass a resolution to replace Harrogate with Halifax.
