    Indeed -- was going to mention him if no one else did. Those three are unquestionably statue material; behind them are a number of Hall-of-Famers who are close to being statue-worthy, but perhaps just not quite there. At any rate, one could have good arguments yes or no for these players. Hanson belongs in this group, to my mind.

    Hendrie, Bobby, Ces and teenage Stu were all before my time but I would acknowledge all are considered legends among the wider City fanbase for what they did for the club - I guess that’s why we have named bars and buildings after them.

    It all boils down to how you define legend I guess, as to which of the Jewell side or history makers you’d debate would be possible ‘legends’.

    The definition of legend on Google is “an extremely famous or notorious person, especially in a particular field”. But that’s too vague.

    When you look back at our history 2000+, and think of big games, notable scalps, cup runs and promotions…..can anyone think of a player who features more than Hanson? i can’t. When you tell your kids and grandkids about Stamford Bridge, beating Leeds in the Cup, all of the scalps in the League Cup…..Hanson was there and a big part of those stories. He stepped up when we needed him.m, which is why players and oppo managers respected him.

    i know he wasnt a product of our youth set up but he was a local lad, and that helps strengthen his case.

    Do you think if I paid him two bob and a couple of woodbines, he'd come and paint a big chicken , I mean Bantam on the front of my house. When people need directions. I can just say 'it's the house with big *@?$ on the front of it'.... I'll get my coat.....

    They want to paint Ces P joe Cooke and Stuart on there and Bobby. Heart talent and they give a dam and always tried To perform. Even on bab pitches
