You can forgive me for struggling to keep up.

I've spent years reading that we're a League Two side, not even a big League Two side, exactly where we should be historically - why do big crowds due to cheap ST's change that, they cry!

So I've accepted that, but at the same time have to accept that we should definitely be getting promoted because we need to be in a higher division?

Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

Tonight was a cup game, we've let ourselves down, we got hammered by a team from the division above, it wasn't acceptable. The end.

 

I think we're judging ourselves at League One standard, to be honest.

We're a dismal League One side, unbalanced and with positions unfilled.

But we're actually in League Two, where every side is unbalanced, everybody has positions unfilled, except maybe the two or three who get automatic promotion.

I'm a little bit worried, but I'm not apoplectic yet.

I like this new guy on Radio Leeds, his commentary on the game is good as well as his post match questions.

 

Yeah i spotted that faux pas. Moaning about fans going on about transfers, must be patient we can't ask Tonttenham to just give us their players then in the same breath praising the premiership loanees that Licoln had brought in. Make your mind up, how about getting on to the powers above and ask why our premiership loanees are still yet to be delivered but Lincoln's are already having an effect? It seems like last time he didn't have enough say in transfers and now he's got too much.

Car crash interview, he didn't sound all there to me. Don't mind passion but when you add delusion in to it you get a disastrous recipe.

 

His fourth spell will be different though.

If not his fourth, then his fifth or sixth. At a push he'll have definitely got it right by stint seven.

Judge me after (another) 46 games? How much rope do we need to give this guy? We are not the Stuart McCall Charity Football Club.

I would argue in his second spell, particularly season 1, he took over a club on an upswing after a number of years of success. I would also argue that Parkinson would have obtained automatic promotion with the same players.

My comment was that McCall has never demonstrated an ability to turn a club around if they are on a downward trajectory, City first time, end of his second spell (self admitted) and Scunthorpe. I would argue he simply doesn’t have the management skills or mental fortitude. Last nights game and interview was a demonstration of that.

I would also say that ultimately at the end of his one successful season we were still beaten and there are enough comments on here that he did not manage that game well.

The fact that 4 strikers, including Vaughn, have turned him down, none in his Teflons own words for financial reasons, reflects As much on his inability to recruit as well as the club.

And your example of Cooke? When have you ever heard a player who has just signed for a club say anything but great things about the whole club? Cooke was throwing platitudes around because he was glad to have a contract.
